Here's some quick facts:
My "Christmas" begonia might be getting a bit too much direct sunlight, but it's growing like crazy.

My blood tests didn't hurt at all today. 🙂
My latest project
I'm doing this space elf guy. I'm not sure if it's a she or he or what.
I'm glad to have something else I like to immerse myself in than just games or reading. Well of course I draw, but that's a little different.
derp
I did the ears and the nose multiple times because I don't really know what I'm doing, and now I have all these little crocheted clumps of gray yarn.
I'm not sure if I should still add a mouth and some eyebrows and I haven't even thought about the body yet.
I've been listening to a lot of Värttinä lately. This one kind of reminds me of the Madoka Magica witch music, probably because Värttinä is inspired by Karelian poetry singing or rune song, the same stuff that the Kalevala is made out of.
This song is about the passage of time, light and darkness and a travelling singer, but it's poetic so it's difficult to translate.
Does anyone with an IBD know any tips for ulcers and inflammation in the mouth?
That's something that keeps bothering me. It's making eating unpleasant, even tho my colitis is somewhat in remission. (Well I can see some small signs but everything is very manageable still.)
I think what has triggered the ulcers right now is that I've been drinking this iron electrolyte water, and I've had a few bad headaches and had to take ibuprofen, and I've taken the type of ibuprofen that dissolves in the mouth.
It's very difficult to make sure I have enough iron and electrolytes to not be dizzy, or manage my pain without damaging my digestive system.
I try to brush my teeth well and clean my tongue to reduce bad bacteria, and I've started restricting my sugar intake because that stuff also hurts a lot, but now that I've started living alone again, I feel kind of like my gut and mouth flora has been going back to worse. I guess I need to find a new partner to get some new germs.
I don't know if eating probiotics helps? Has it actually helped for anyone? They're pretty pricey too, if you actually want actual working not dead probiotics. And I feel like those things help more for the gut health, and not the mouth...
I searched for a community on here, but there's not an active one, so I'm just making a single post like this.
I'm going to the doctor soon tho so maybe I could ask them again for a new kind of painkiller for the headache, but it seems like all the doctors here are sadists, cause they keep saying that there isn't any other options for me because everything else is also bad for the stomach and I'm already eating an SSRI medicine which is a painkiller too. This is the last explanation I got...
The pink is not keeping at all!
I think my hairdresser destroyed my hair. She fried it lol. I've never had this light hair tho... My hair is the color of my skin!
I'm kind of bad at using prepositions, both in English and in Swedish, because we don't have them like that in the Finnish language. They're just melted in there with all the other words, as suffixes, so I don't even realize them in the same way. Also punctuation rules are different. And gendered pronouns. It would be really silly to use a gendered pronoun in Finnish. It would sound like a joke.

Edited the face and made them some clothes. Now they're just Winnie the poohing it.
I need to find some tweezers so I can fix the wires and make sure that everything stays in place.
This has been my only source of dopamine the whole last weekend.

Here's my little beetroot. Should I add one more leaf? I thought they might look too bulky. I actually attached the stems by tying them up at the bottom of the ball and left those strings to make them look like the small roots.
I just made my first crochet ball. What should I make out of it?
It reminds me of a beetroot.
okay I made this... thing 😀 with only my imagination, and I thought because this yarn is fluffy and blotchy, it will hide most of the unevenness and it can look organic anyway so it doesn't matter too much. So if I manage to do at least two more of something similar, I can put leaves on my beetroot!
I'm so addicted to this now that I had to massage and stretch my hands because they had started to get sore. I've been put off by crocheting because of my dyscalculia and weak joints on my fingers, but yesterday I had the time to learn things really slowly, and I realized that if I want to crochet according to a guide, I need to say the numbers and types of stitches out loud, so that I remember them better.
