“Eh, really?” her eyes widened in surprise “Aigo, so expensive…”

She smiles widely and she holds her hand “ yeah! Don’t worry about it I’ll pay. We can buy you a dress and a little dress for your little girl

She nodded some “Only if you’re sure” she replied softly “It would be nice to get something for Luca though..”

Eunsook hummed to herself as she carried a large box through her shop, struggling a little with the heavy box of books but managing well enough as she put it down onto the floor and grabbed her scissors to open it up. It was delivery day for her book shop, meaning there were new releases to put on display, and she slowly got them out box by box in between serving customers.

Just as she reached into the box the bell above the shop door ran, signifying the arrival of a customer, and she pushed her glasses up her nose as she straightened up and dipped her head in a bow to greet the new comer.

“Hi, welcome to Cover To Cover~” she announced happily, smiling brightly at the man who had stepped through the door “How can I help you today?”

Friends had told Jinyoung about a book series that he just had to read. One of his group mates gave the first book to him; therefore, he would have to buy the second one on his own as one of the others were currently reading it. On the other hand, he could have just waited; however, he was impatient to know what happens next in the book series. This would be the fifth store he visited and tried to find the book. In all other stores, the book were unavailable.

“Hi, Uhmm… I’m looking for the second book in this series,”

Jinyoung paused before moving his eyes up to the girl, a gentle smile formed on his lips. Without realizing, he had forgotten to show her the book cover to put on display what series he meant. This resulted in a light and embarrass laugh to leave him, and he opened his bag to find the book he was talking about just a moment ago.

“The follow up on this one,”

She left the box behind to approach the man as he spoke, pushing her glasses back into place once more as she looked at the book offered to her. She paused for a moment, trying to remember everything she had recieved in her delivery, before smiling and nodding as she turned to walk over to the counter.

“Ah, nae, I just got it in delivery” she replied happily, moving behind the counter and double checking on the delivery list. She knew she was right but there was no harm in checking, she didn’t want to get his hopes up and then be wrong “It will be in the back, I’ll go and find it for you. You are welcome to look around in the meantime”

She took a step back and opened the door to her stock room “The shelf behind you has other books by the same author, you are welcome to take a look while I go and find what you are looking for”

The bell above Scarlett’s head chimed as she walked into the bookstore. It was pretty empty, but she could tell it wasn’t a failing business. She was in at an odd time, five in the evening, so most people were at home eating dinner. But not Scarlett.

“Excuse me?” She asked the girl at the counter and pointed to a display of John Green books. “Do you recommend these?”

Normally Eunsook would greet a customer as soon as the bell above the door rang, the only exceptions being if she was on the phone or serving a customer. She was doing neither of those things, instead she was just organizing a new display, but she was concentrating on what she was doing and so didn’t even notice the woman enter her store. As a result she jumped a little when she suddenly heard a voice but she was quick to recover, turning to face the woman and smiling warmly as she pushed her glasses up her nose.

“Oh, John Green” Her smile brightened as her eyes landed on the display “I would recommend any of his books, though I am more partial to Paper Towns myself. He is a surprisingly decent writer and his books are neither heavy going nor so light they are boring” she nodded some “Any particular reason you are looking into John Green’s works in particular?”

“The shop is doing fine…it honestly hasn’t been took long since I have reopened so it’s going to take time to get customers coming back in” She shrugged lightly “What have you been up to while I’ve been away?”
