This scene from the Visions of V manga feels like a direct reference to the Three of Swords Tarot card. It almost looks like the panel itself is a continuation of the card’s imagery.

It gets even more interesting when you look at the meaning of the Three of Swords in Tarot. It represents deep emotional pain—so intense it almost feels physical. Heartbreak, loss, betrayal, sudden separation, loneliness, rejection… it’s basically the embodiment of absolute emotional suffering.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it—but honestly, everything about that card lines up almost perfectly with Vergil’s situation. At that point, it doesn’t really feel like a coincidence so much as a deliberate reference.
