Musically, Eternal Sonata has a bitchin' premise. You are Chopin on his deathbed, dreaming of a world based on your music. As you'd expect, there's plenty of actual Chopin pieces in Eternal Sonata. This (the game's battle theme) isn't one of them, but it showcases some of the excellent string work done throughout the soundtrack. Shame that they couldn't find a real trumpet player to record as well - the transition from actual instrumentation to MIDI is pretty jarring.

Whoops I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem lately I hope it isn't obvious

The music direction for Awakening was awfully different from the previous entries in the series. Awakening is a lot more grandiose, maybe even a little more so than it needs to be. But the merging of map and battle themes is a first, making the transition between the two practically seamless. Skirmishes become somewhat more immersive that way (although you're still going from the 2D sprites on the map to the 3D models in battles), but the fighting loses a lot of punch - I'd say only two or so tracks in Awakening deliver the way other Fire Emblems' battle themes have and this is one of them.

That 2:12, dayum.

I remember I was so excited when the soundtrack rips for Dark Dawn were coming out and this theme made it in. I think that was what probably clinched my preorder, in retrospect. It was a big deal to me - the first game I'd preordered since Pokemon: Silver. I adored these games in middle school.

I think I'd prefer that the original Golden Sun was my only memory of this song, let's just leave it at that.

This guy decided to take advantage of the end of the Mayan calendar two years ago and released this arrangement album on midnight of the 21st. It's fantastic, and free if you want it to be.

SWERY is missing the jackpot of a lottery scratcher but winning $20 anyways so you still feel like a winner. He is insane and scratches an itch for tantalizing absurdity in gaming. If you needed further proof of that, he brought his latest project to the XBox One, which is a monumental shame.

If you too are monumentally ashamed of your XBOne, please buy D4 to alleviate some of that shame and allow SWERY to buy another meal. Even if he does just spend it on pickles and hot dogs again.
