There was not a lot, if anything for that matter, that Lysandra was thankful for. This was a stupid event that the Island did, a stupid holiday the world had, where people sat down and thanked... Whatever for blessing them with family, friends, love, good grades, anything positive in their lives, and throughout her years of comprehensible living, she didn’t have anything she was thankful enough to celebrate. Not the things that people traditionally did, like friends and family, or new or lasting love. She was thankful to have a roof over her head, she was thankful to be alive, that she wasn’t starving, or in a ditch somewhere. She was thankful that, unlike some of the people she’d met in her time, her mother had chosen to put her through the system. The homes she had were never good, never permanent, but they were houses to live in, and beds to sleep on. So being out on this ridiculous camping trip, she felt... Stupid. Wondering if anyone else was as bitter or annoyed with this whole thing.
Sat off on her own, the woman was left to huffing and puffing, not wanting to partake in any manner, sitting on a log was good enough for her, fingers tucked delicately between her thighs for the warmth. She’d really just been watching the hustle and bustle of people trying to set up places to sleep. She hadn’t noticed someone sitting down next to her. Head tilting slightly, she eyed the other person - cautiously. “What, not interested in all this holiday mumbo jumbo?”
I’ll be postinng opens later tonight but in the meantime how about a plotting call!
saviing:
peter couldn’t get over the holiday music downtown.
he got it. not everybody on this island were from the united states, and not everybody celebrated thanksgiving songs. even more so, there were no such thing as thanksgiving songs. back when his family was together, they would make a huge event out of thanksgiving, a time where they would come together and cook a grand meal, even if it was only for the four of them. here, they went straight to the holidays, because at least they could all agree on that. it sucked, to say the least. he felt all of the holiday spirit drained out of him, but kept his head up. still, peter begrudgingly walked into the nearest shop, the one that just happened to be blaring the loudest music. a weird mix of scents hit his nose, and it made him nearly sick in seconds. he picked up a bottle of purple liquid, which turned out to be shampoo. “huh. who would want purple shampoo?”
Holidays. Nesta hated them with a burning passion. Perhaps it was because her family hadn’t spent a holiday properly together since she’d been very, very young. Perhaps it had been because her father was an ass. Perhaps it was because her mother died close to the holidays. Perhaps it was the fact that she had no one left to celebrate them with, but whatever the reason, Nesta loathed them. Christmas? Same thing. She hated it. Hated the shitty, joyful music, hated the idea of going into debt to prove that you held some kind of love and care for someone. But, things were often on sale this time of the year and that meant she could pick up some nice things - for herself. which is what brought her to the store in the first place. Her eyes had been wandering the shelves when she heard a boy mumbling about shampoo.
Uneducated. That was the simplicity of it. Uneducated boys. “It turns your hair purple. Makes it easier if you want to test the colour without going through with the commitment of dying, and it makes it easier for dying.”
byeriiisms:
“ —mother fudger!” a mumbled curse of FRUSTRATION was bled over the dimly lit rooftop. it had been the sixth sketch that he managed to screw up in the last hour. SIXTH. it wasn’t foreign for the occasional mess up, maybe a wash of color not exactly turning out the way he wanted but it was RARE for will to continuously make mistakes. he could usually cover them up quite well but this time — this time it was like no matter what he did, nothing could come out the way he pictured it in his head. “god, what is wrong with you tonight, will? you can’t even… oh.” it hadn’t taken long before he noticed that he wasn’t alone, though he was stunning to see someone had found his HIDEAWAY atop of the building’s roof. “i… i’m sorry. h-how long have you been standing there exactly?”
since being on the island, Lysandra had been struggling to find a place to call her safe haven. Somewhere she could go that left her room for... Comfort. Somewhere no one would be able to find her. She’d tried cafes, book stores, everything. Tonight she’d decided to try a rooftop, somewhere where she could overlook the island and see the twinkle of the stars up above. Somewhere warm, and left her feeling a little less... Melancholic. It seemed however, once she was on the roof, that she wasn’t the only one thinking this to be the best hiding spot. She’d lingered nearby, simply witnessing the boy throw fits over his drawings. She couldn’t draw, so it wasn’t like she could have much of a say in what was and wasn’t good, but she doubted anything was bad enough to talk to himself over. Upon him taking notice, she simply shrugged, crossing her arms under her bust. “Long enough to witness you hiss about at least two different drawings.”
hcpelesswonder:
Nervously fiddling with a locket that’s placed around her neck, she raises her eyebrow at the person who had been staring at her for practically the entire time that she had been at that bar, and once she notices that they are heading to where she’s standing, she immediately bolts towards someone who didn’t look too busy as she taps them on the shoulder gently and gets in front. “Please pretend like you know me, there’s someone who I don’t want to get to know, trying to get my attention.”
Nesta truthfully never had any sort of excitement when it came to people trying to talk to her at the bars. Of course, it was because she didn’t think she should’ve been interacting with the type of people at a bar - which, in reality, she really shouldn’t have been there herself, but yet, here she was. So when the tap to her shoulder happened, the light eyed girl turned to give the blonde the most intimidating glare she could conjure up. She would’ve snapped some kind of insult if it weren’t for the explanation the girl had. Cold eyes darted behind her, looking for the person in question. When she caught clear look of them, she did nothing to hide the clear snarl on her face, all regal coldness and annoyance. The type of attitude that dared people to try her. “Do you need to get out of here?” she asked her, as if she was asking a longtime friend if they needed a ride, and upon returning her ever cold gaze to the young blonde, she forced a little smile, trying to play the part of a concerned friend.
coeurtetu:
The night is cold and she is glad you are here with her. Balancing university and work was hard, but the blonde didn’t have much of a choice. Beside knowing there was always an eye on her, better try and be more of a g o o d g i r l, in this new world.
❝ Thanks for coming over, you ass. ❞
It was always nice to settle down with a warm body, a factor of her past that Lysandra had never really had the chance to drop. She hated sleeping alone, and it seemed the other girl had an interest in having some company for the night. How they had come about being friends, she wasn’t entirely sure. But, she wouldn’t question or argue about it. Lysandra needed connections that would keep her sane.
“And thank you for inviting me, brat.”

Lysandra’s intro
01.when the virtual reality shut down, what was your muse’s reaction ? how did they handle the dark period ? ( if your muse died in canon: how would they have reacted ? ) Lysandra honestly didn’t find it too bad. Of course there were issues because the world went wild for a bit, but in all reality, she didn't care too much. Not having too many things to worry about gave her time to practice her abilities. She would’ve been perfectly fine with the dark period, had Evangaline been fine with it, but the young girl was scared, and because of her emotional turmoil, Lysandra was left... on edge.
02. what was their reaction to finding out they were fiction ?how did they feel about the idea of becoming real ? ( if your muse died in canon: how will they react to finding out they were fiction ? ) Lysandra didn’t have a good life in what she had discovered was the fictional world. Being turned away from her mother, to grow up to be apart of a Brothel, all of it was terrible. She enjoyed not a second of her childhood, and not much of the rest of her life either. So discovering that it hadn’t been real was a little upsetting for her. Knowing that she still felt all those terrible emotions and went through all those terrible things, only to have someone tell her that none of it really happened, or really mattered. Though at the idea of becoming real, she was excited for it. The idea of having a second shot at a life that was better, was appealing for her. So she had actually been overjoyed when she was told she could start over again.
03. before the island, where did they live ? what was their reset life like ? what drew them to the island ? Broughton in Furness, a small town with a population of 529 people. Lysandra was born to a single mother, who worked hard at one of the smaller diners in the area. Her father, who had only stuck around for three months of her mothers pregnancy, had been a CEO of some major business, who had only passed through the town on a chance. He’d stayed with her for awhile, but when he realized that her mother was too stubborn to leave the damned town and come with him, he left. Lysandra never heard of the man after, except for when her mother would rave about how terrible men were as a general. Unfortunately for her, her reset life happened to go fairly similar to her canon one. At the age of eight, her mother could no longer afford her, and began trying to figure out ways she could make money off of the young girl. When it became abundantly clear that there really weren’t any good money in selling children as tiny maids, her mother made up the mind to get rid of her all together - she couldn’t keep feeding and clothing her, so she put her in the system. The year of absolute hell her mother had put her through, where she was brought to house to house and forced to clean for hours on end, had turned Lysandra into a foul mouthed child. She’d been tired of begging for peoples love and attention, and grew angry and easily irritated. Because of her nature, nobody really wanted to adopt her. Because of that, she was put through foster home after foster home, until she turned eighteen. It was then that she fled to bigger towns, working on the street as a way to get money. It was then that she had caught wind of the island, and decided a better life awaited her there.
04. what are some of the events, twists, or turns that the fans voted on ? Fans voted on things like her father being a big CEO man with lots of money, but deciding to not help out the family he created. They also voted on her mother being unable to keep her, and instead of giving her up right away, trying to find ways to get money out of her before finally putting her into the system. Potentially throughout her younger years there, there had been couples who had wanted to adopt her, had the fans not voted against that, as well. A happy life is never a good show, right? The fans also voted on her choice not to go to school, but instead to work odd jobs for money.
05. does your character have any secrets ( big or small ) that they think are private when in reality they were broadcasted live to the whole world ? There were several times throughout her childhood that she had planned on running away, which she thinks no one knows about. Among that there’s several pregnancy scares and heartbreaks. She also stole food on several occasions from stores and restaurants that she thinks no one knows.
06. what are the major similarities between the character’s canon life & their reset life ? what about the differences ? In canon, her mother chooses to abandon her. In her reset, her mother still chooses to abandon her, with the differences being that this time around, she tried to get money out of it first, and didn’t just kick her out onto the streets, but made sure she had some kind of roof over her head. Like canon, even in the reset, Lysandra still ends up being a form of escort. Only this time she doesn’t work for a brothel.
07. how much of their old life will they remember when their memories return ? All of it. She’ll remember every little detail, and it will only make her loathe not only the creators, but the fans even more. She’ll hate every person involved with making both of her lives shitty. She’s going to be bitter and short fused.
Nesta’s Intro
01.when the virtual reality shut down, what was your muse’s reaction ? how did they handle the dark period ? ( if your muse died in canon: how would they have reacted ? ) Nesta’s always been a little afraid of the dark. Given the fact that she was cast into the Cauldron where it was dark, she panicked when the dark period hit. She went into a fit of drinking and binging, worse than she had prior to it. The Fae never could handle change.
02. what was their reaction to finding out they were fiction ?how did they feel about the idea of becoming real ? ( if your muse died in canon: how will they react to finding out they were fiction ? ) Despite everything being very obviously true, Nesta still struggles with believing that it was even remotely possible that she didn’t exist. How could everything she felt be fake? She felt everything so strongly, she denies ever being... Fictional. Denies ever not existing in reality, and will hiss at anyone who dare say otherwise.
03. before the island, where did they live ? what was their reset life like ? what drew them to the island ? Prior to the island, Nesta lived somewhere up North. She never really cared about the name, but knew it was somewhere similar to what she was forced to call home in the Night Court, being dark most of the time with glorious night skies and snowy days. After the reset, she still carried the same idea of not wanting to be close to anyone, not even her sisters. So she spent her days with people who wouldn’t ever want to get to know her, usually out at bars and parties. However, after awhile of isolating herself, she grew incredibly lonely. Thinking that there was a chance of happiness, of not feeling so terribly alone all the time, she decided to move.
04. what are some of the events, twists, or turns that the fans voted on ? Nesta’s mother died when she was very young. As she grew, Nesta had several boyfriends, all of which were short lived because of the fans not enjoying how they meshed together, and as she grew older and older, her father passed away, yet another decision by the fans. Her moving into an apartment by herself, and deciding to get a job in a slummy bar for the time being. The fans also voted on her having a fairly scary pregnancy scare, which was ultimately the wake up call for her to get her life together.
05. does your character have any secrets ( big or small ) that they think are private when in reality they were broadcasted live to the whole world ? Her pregnancy scare is really the major one. How much she freaked out about it and how scary it had been, she hadn’t told anyone about it, not even her boss. She’d just taken the time off as sick days, when in reality it was because she was stressing over what could’ve been her child.
06. what are the major similarities between the character’s canon life & their reset life ? what about the differences ? In canon, Nesta ends up isolating herself and becoming a fairly known alcoholic and a lil bit of a hoe, that still stays similar. ya girl had some experiences. Also in canon, Nesta’s mother and father die, at different times in her life, which stays in the reset life. The differences being that in canon, Nesta just wanted to marry into fortune. In this reset life, she’s lonely and wants to make her on success.
07. how much of their old life will they remember when their memories return ? All of it. She’ll remember everything from growing up fairly wealthy to her father being beaten and having to live a life of poverty, to watching her youngest sister get dragged away by a giant fae beast man, to going into that world and being forcefully turned into the one thing she hated most, to the war that followed and having to save Cassain’s life, seeing her father die, and becoming a problematic person as a whole. She’ll remember everything.
