  "I don’t know about that. I mean, live long enough in the Underworld, becoming the next Source will be on the agenda sooner or later," he said, shrugging.

Now he actually laughed. “I bet. Probably feels good too. It’s been a while since I kill any demon. None of them is yet to get on my nerves.”

She took in a short sigh, "I'm not sure," a hand ruffled through her hair, "I've never really put 'become queen of the underworld' on my calendar."

"Lizard demons are one of my pet peeves, just because you have a snake tongue doesn't mean you're a charmer,"

  He raised his eyebrows in surprise, and interest, at the implication. “You don’t want Dren to become the Source?” he asked, curious. “Or more like you don’t want him to become the Source without telling you first?”

"Yeah." He tried to contain his laughter and just gave her a small smile. "You can kill some of them," he said, shrugging. "The rest might end up accepting the deal."

Pandora realized how bad her anger had sounded, "I mean it's not like that-" she breathed out quickly.      "It's just there's more to the underworld than he realizes?" She offered

  Pandora smiled back, "Killing them's my favourite part,"

“‘This time’? What did he do the last time that he didn’t share with you? Don’t tell me he tried to become the Source?”

"I swear I would've used my powers on him if he did that," She clenched her fists, "Just a lot of deals, especially with lizard demons."

Pandora raised her arms up and down in a shudder, "Lizard losers are all hands,"

  "Too true," he said, laughing. "Glad my father doesn’t check up on me. Can’t imagine having him on my back for hundreds of years. We might end up killing each other. Although yours sound like Dren is preparing your for…something."

She let out a long sigh, "It's exhausting having him watch over me all the time," Pandora shook her head, "if he is planning something, he sure as hell better tell me about it this time,"

" Oh  are they forcing you to see him? That’s no fun.. "

"..Something like that," she started, "He just - really likes to 'check-up' on me,"

"Another typical trait. No offence. Although I think I still will try to avoid the area."

"Well that doesn’t give you much of a choice. He’s trying to make sure your mortal side hasn’t taken over or something?"

"Demons, mortals," She sighed, "We're all so predicable,"  "Whenever I see him it's like a doctor's check-up, he checks my humanity, my power growth, my opinion of the source, everything,"

  "That should be fun. Do let me know when he’ll be up here so I can avoid the area. Not in any mood to meet a demon who likes to scream," he joked. "What was that about? I assume it’s not just about sleepover?"

Pandora took a deep breathe, "As long as he gets what we wants, he probably won't butcher your ears too much," she sighed, "He told me if I wouldn't go down, he'd come up.."

  "Hey. Don’t mind me. Dren?"

She covered the mouthpiece of her phone, "I'll fill you in when he stops yelling like a banshee," Pandora sighed, returning to her call. After a few minutes of the two piping back and forth, she clicked her phone closed. "Daddy dearest wants to come for a sleepover,"

  " Go where exactly? "

Pandora muttered a quick good-bye into her phone before fully turning her attention to Jude, "Go visit my Dad.."

"I don't understand why I have to go down there every three days," Pandora snapped into her phone before noticing the other's presence in the room, "Oh- Hey, you"

"Well that noise was on the creepy side." Chris joked, following her up the stairs, "You must have been seriously bored to invite a relative stranger with you."

"Not that I have any problem with that."

Has nothing to do with being bored when the stranger's cute like you, she thought. Shaking her head at his comment, she gestured to a couch, "You can sit if you want," she said, 'do you like popcorn?"

  "I suppose tacos count." Chris grinned, friendly, and when they stopped he looked up at the building. 

"Cool. Do you live with anyone?"

She smiled up at Chris, "Just my big screen TV,"

Pandora dug a key out of her jeans pocket before leading Chris up the old concrete stairs, a slow clank followed by the pulling of the heavy door was heard. She lead him up another flight before pulling open the door with a metallic '4' on it.

  "I’m okay, only really played it on Spring and Summer break." He swallowed, and he was sure it was audible, "I’m more of a Mexican fan, but there’s a great Chinese place round the corner from my new place." He tried to make it sound like he wasn’t only just in the process of moving out. "Celebrity crush? Uhh. Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil? Are you musical at all?"

"A lot of people aren't really big volleyball players, frankly it's not all that interesting to watch- or even play if you aren't that good at it," She explained, moving her dark brown fringe from her eyes, "Honestly, I haven't really had anything 'Mexican' persay..Other than tacos."

Pandora stopped in-front of an apartment building, "I can play piano, but other than that there's not much else to say, which I guess is a good thing considering we're here,"

  "I still run." He smiled, mostly away from the forces of evil, but yeah he still ran. "Volleyball?"

"No comment." He chuckled, "Uhm, usually I start the flirting, if that’s what you meant. Umm, favourite take out?"

"Yeah, you any good at it?" She smiled, "I'm a killer centre,"

"It's close enough to what I meant, and I hate to be basic as possible but I really love Chinese food, so- celebrity crush?"

  "Stab, stab, stab?" He laughed, "Very eloquent, but I know what you mean. And I used to be a lot more sporty, I was on the track team in high school nowadays it’s more take out and co-op with my roommate."

"What about you? More of an inside or outside person?"

She laughed along with him, "Maybe direct's my other middle name,". Pandora nodded, "So you must have some killer leg muscle then, huh? Or at-least you used to?..I don't know, as much as I can get into a book, I do play a mean game of volleyball- I'm not too shabby at baseball either,"

"Do you get hit-on a lot?"

  "I’m six foot ish. Uhh, what’s your favourite kind of movie? Because I wouldn’t have pegged you for a chick flick type."

"Tall men get paid more," she chimed, "I'm more into horror flicks, especially when they have a plot and it's not just stab, stab, stab."

"Okay, do you know your way around a video game controller or are you more a sporty guy?"
