People donât understand this when I explain it to them.
everyone who died at the battle of hogwarts missed All Star by Smash Mouthâs release two days later
Itâs so tragic, they still had so much to do, so much to see
On October 11, 1988, ACT UP members from all over the country descended on the headquarters of the Food and Drug Administration in Rockville, MD, in an action they called âSEIZE CONTROL OF THE FDA.â
ACT UP activists demanded that the FDA make its drug approval process faster and more ethical in order to get more experimental drugs into the bodies of people who needed them. They demanded that drug trials include women, people of color, IV drug users, and all other people with AIDS who had traditionally been excluded from trials and therefore denied access to new drugs.
As a result of the action and ACT UPâs continued lobbying, the FDA adopted ACT UPâs proposed structure for drug trials, Parallel Track, which greatly expanded access to experimental medicines.
Read more about the action here.
Join the fight! ACT UP still meets every Monday at 7pm at the LGBT Center in NYC.
The longer I look at this the harder I laugh.
Omg. OMG. Still one of my favorite things the internet has provided me.

Imagine saying this without a hint of irony. Imagine being that dense and evil.
Benjamin Franklin helped to create Impeachment Clause of US Constitution. He realized that if a president were to ârender himself obnoxious,â then people would logically consider assassination unless there was a legal way to get rid of the president.
Just obnoxious. Not treasonous or acting outside of the best interests of the American people. Just really really fucking annoying.
Ben Franklin understood people.
I feel like a lot of people donât want to ask questions they have about gender/sexuality to LGBT people because they donât want to offend them because we talk about cishet people asking stupid or intrusive questions a lot
But actually when youâre questioning itâs really helpful to be able to ask some âstupidâ questions although youâre too afraid to
So can y'all LGBTQIA+ people reblog this if youâre totally fine with people asking questions about your gender/sexuality, as long as they do so respectfully
