I have such a deep-rooted love and admiration for mascs and butches, and I don't even mean it sexually right now. How they speak, how they act, how they present themselves. How they can be rough and soft at the same time, tough and sensitive. How those pretty eyes adore the world around them even when the world rejects them. How they are trying to love themselves even when "society" and "patriarchy" tells them how wrong they are for simply existing the way they do.
I wish more people would stop treating them like men and expecting them to act like it. I wish we could stop for a second and realize masculinity isn't exclusively for men, you don't have to tie the masc presenting folks out there to strictly men. I wish more people would understand that masculinity is what feels right for them, is what they call "home" when the world around them feels too hostile, too out of the reach.
Kiss them on their forehead. Bring them water and little treats when they are overworking themselves. Buy them little trinkets and surprise them with small presents when they are down. Buy them flowers ans chocolates. Cuddle them and be the big spoon. Comb and braid their hair. Stand by their side when they feel like the world is crushing them. Bring them a warm blanket and pills when they are on their period. Make them feel loved and seen!!! Mascs and butches are not sexually fantasies on two legs. They are real people, with feelings, dreams, fears, insecurities.
