Well, the dam finally broke, and I’ve done the one thing I didn’t want to do.
Because of serious medical hardships, my mom and I are now facing a 10,000 dollar backpay on our home. My mom just got home from almost two months in the hospital due to a stroke, and other underlying conditions ( IE Hemispheric Migraines causing Paralysis on the left side of her body. )
Because of this she has lost her job, and my income is not enough to pull us out of the hole we’re in.
I’ve already drained my savings and paid 2,000 off of the 10,000, but I only get paid bi-weekly, and our forbearance ends on the 30th with no extensions.
I do not expect the full amount through this, but at this point, I’ve run out of options. If my posts have ever made you chuckle or exhale from the nose, please spread this around as much as you can if nothing else so my mom and I can continue to have a roof over our heads.

Rose all but froze in place, afraid to take another step lest some horrible fate befall her. "Careful? C-careful of what?"
She knew better than to wander this far from the cottage, and yet... She had been so curious, she just couldn't help it. Maybe this was her just rewards for disobeying her aunts.
"That's a lovely name, too!" There, and that had to mean they weren't quite strangers anymore, right? "Oh, I had no idea there was anyone else so far in the woods... Do you live somewhere nearby, Snow White?"
"My aunts and I, we live in a cottage in a glen just over that way." She motioned back in the direction she had come, and as she peered back over her shoulder she tried not to think about just how she intended to ever make her way back... It all looked so unfamiliar, looking back...
" Oh yes, yes ! My uncles and I reside just over the seventh hill, past the fa- Oh dear ! " Snow snapped a hand over her mouth, moving to smooth her palms over her bodice AND her nerves. She's trying not to make too much of a fool of herself, really she is.
" Gracious, I'm sorry ! I suppose I'm simply excited. "
The forest is expansive, apparently more than she thought ! That, or this girl is so incredibly far from home.
" Can I join you on your walk ? I know my way around this part of the woods as well as I know my own hands ! "

Oh! Poison ivy? Rose let out a breath of relief. Poison ivy could be quite nasty indeed, but her mind had dreamed up such worse nightmares for a moment that compared to that a little poison ivy was nothing! Still, she turned with a grateful smile to the other. "Oh. Oh, thank you, I hadn't noticed!"
"No, please, don't apologize. I should have been paying better attention. I've never been this way before, I suppose my mind was too focused on the new sights. Really, thank you!"
But now that the danger was past, Briar Rose was able to stop and realize she was breaking one of her aunts' most important rules: Never speak to strangers. And yet... This was a girl! Someone not far from her own age, she guessed! She'd never known another girl aside from her aunts.
"I, um... Hello! My name is Briar Rose." Well, she was already being rebellious by wandering out, what could a little more disobedience hurt?
Oh good, the blonde certainly had her wits about her at least ! Snow rocked on her heels and straightened her posture out with a smile. " Why, I don't blame you ! Springtime always has brought out the most lovely sights in these woods. "
The dwarves had their own rules on strangers, but nothing had happened yet ! Besides, how long has it been since the princess spoke to anyone her age ?
" Briar Rose, a lovely name ! " Snow bobbled her head, picking up her skirt and dipping into a curtsy. " Why, I'm Snow White ! "

" Oh, oh goodness me, I'm sorry ! " She hadn't meant to startle her ! Snow really could've been less urgent about it, now that she has the chance to stop and think. " There's a patch of Giftsumach just ahead, Poison ivy ! I'd truly hate for you to wander unknowingly into it. "
The princess folded her hands behind her back, leaning to look Rose over. Snow was no stranger to the woods at this point, so looking out for fellow wanderers came as easy as a tune to her !
" I'm awfully sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. Are you alright ? "
Gosh... I very much would like to see the moon up close some day..
AS SHE MOVES CLOSER, the jet makes little indication that it bothers her. She would usually put up more of a fuss about a human getting so in her space, but, well..... she knew better than most what the cold did to cybertronians at certain temperatures. She can only assume it's the same for humans; although likely easier than her. Subtly, her wings shift with her movements to try and shield her from the majority of the wind.
"OBVIOUSLY. If you did, I doubt you would try to kill yourself on your walk home. Or, well, you wouldn't stop yourself just to come over here and bother me. Hopefully. Is it always like this here?"
There was some kind of relief at the wind no longer nipping at her nose, and in Snow eyes, that little gesture melted away the fright she felt at first. The royal wrapped her arms around herself, shaking her head.
" On no no ! It really only gets this bad once or twice a year! Just, usually not until after the new year... "
She really does not mean to huddle too close, but she is much like a small animal in the way of she will find the closest heat source and huddle around it until it moves... In which she will probably move with it. Sincerest apologies to Starscream, but she may have just gained a small tag-a-long until she gets close enough to the castle.
" I'm awfully sorry... I don't mean to be a bother, truly ! You just, happen to be along the path I usually take, and well you're quite the beacon of light in a storm like this ! I- Oh golly, I really am sorry. "

SHE LOOKS WELL AND TRULY FED UP. Her wings are tilted downwards, sat on a fallen tree trunk with her nose pinched between her digits. Who knew being Ruler of Cybertron would be so stressful? It's not like the entire planet wants to rip itself to shreds or anything. Either way it's lead her to her lowest point in.... maybe a week - taking a brief vacation to Earth. How exciting.
If you were to ask Snow how in all the levels of hell she found herself in this scenario, she genuinely wouldn't know how to tell you. It's the dead of winter, her cloak is soaked and five minutes from freezing into a sheet of icy fabric... And now she's found herself a mix of completely terrified, and completely exhausted, looking up at the large metal.... person?
Perhaps the chill has already reached her bones, and this is a frostbitten hallucination. But on the other hand, the large entity is giving off an impressive amount of heat. Snow can't help but absently shuffling closer to her foot, praying Starscream wasn't looking for a reason to turn her into a cherry red stain in the white snow.
" I suppose we are in similar boats then... Golly, I do wish I would've packed my warmer stockings. I wasn't expecting a snow storm on my walk home ! "

🫧 Why did you pick this particular muse? Snow White is my most precious darling daughter who lives in my brain like a most welcomed parasite 🙂↕️! Seriously though, This princess has always been such a large part of my heart, and she's really easy to keep in my head. ( Not to mention she quite literally used to be my job ! So ! That helps ! )
🪻 Do you prefer sending memes or receiving them? Sending them. Writing Starters is my absolute weakest skill, and I find I often just, freeze like a deer in headlights trying to answer much of anything !
🍑 What is something you hyperfocus on in your portrayal? I try to focus in on her little vocal quirks. Adriana Caselotti gave Snow such a unique vocal profile, one that I am, frankly, obsessed with. Her little ' Oh! 's and ' Golly ! 's have found their way into my personal vocabulary and I am Not Mad About It.

She took note of the stranger's appearance, curiosity passing over her thoughts. It's not everyday she sees what she can only assume is a fae adjacent being just, out in the open ! For a moment, Snow worries that maybe he's being chased... But she puts it from her mind. Don't assume the worst !
" Directions, a place to go perhaps ? "
" Oh yes alright, I do believe that'll do it ! " She's dusting her hands off on her apron, and wiping her brow. She is... Surrounded by baked goods. Far more than enough to feed the castle and the cottage twice over !
" Right, all hands ! We need to distribute these as far as your horses will take you ! I don't want to see a single box or basket remaining ! "

Technically, Snow wasn't supposed to be out right now. No, her stage time had ended five minutes ago by now ! But the princess just couldn't leave. It was nice outside, and she loved people watching in the park... Rules be dammed, she was older than the whole property, she could bend them a bit.
And if she just so happens to find herself gravitating to an older man sat on a bench dressed like it was dapper day on main street, topped with a pair of fantasia ears on his head, well... " Why, I do hope I'm not the last to say it today either ! "
Snow titters, taking his hand and dipping into a curtsy instead of a shake. For a moment, she had thought someone had left their poor grandfather by his lonesome, but by his overall demeanor, she was very happy to be wrong !
" Oh ! I'm Snow White ! I simply must say, I do love your outfit ! Golly, you look like a citizen of our own main street ! How do you do ? "
A HAND RAISES TO HIT THE TOP OF HIS HEAD GENTLY , as if to say 'duh.' He recognized her from the beginning , of course , because there's no princess more recognizable than Snow White in his humble opinion. Still , he found it more enjoyable to play the part of not knowing at all , and so he does. "Snow White! Why , I should have guessed. It is an absolute honor to meet you , Princess."
"I WAS DOING JUST FINE BEFORE ," He begins with a soft chuckle. "Now that I'm in the presence of royalty , however , I'm doing even better." There is something that's bothering him , no matter how pleasant their conversation may be. He already has his fair share of magic , and this being the most magical place on Earth , he's sure there are other people that would love to be talking to her. He looks left , and right , and left again - before finally looking at her and gesturing to his lone self.
"I DO HAVE TO ASK , as lovely as your company is , aren't there far more interesting people you could be talking to right now? I'm just an old man , after all , and I'd hate to hoard all of the magic to myself."
" As to you, Mr.... Oh how silly of me ! I didn't get your name ! " Snow clicked her tongue, tapping her finger to the corner of her mouth. You really think she'd be better at this after almost 90 years... No matter, it was better to ask later than never ask at all !

The princess mirrored his looking, folding her hands behind her back. Sure, there were probably dozens of people that had her on their photo list. But technically she wasn't actually in her spot, and guests were pretty good about noticing when a character was occupied, be it child or adult. Snow tilted her head, a delighted smile scrunching her nose.
" Hoard ? Why, I won't hear it ! I believe everyone is entitled to a little magic, and you, my good man, are not exempt from that just based on something as silly as age ! "

ONE WOULD THINK THAT THE EVER-PRESENT smile on Magorium's face couldn't grow wider than it already is , and yet he positively beams at her compliment. "People have told me a lot of things , my dear." A man who has lived as long as himself is one that has heard almost everything there is to hear , both good and bad. He hears good things far more often than bad , thank goodness , and today just so happens to be chock-full of amazing things. He loves these sorts of days. It was so alien to her to be living in it again, running it even... Nothing felt normal these days. A consequence of sudden responsibility one supposes..

The royal huffed and pushed her curls back in place, looking around them. Doc had warned her of plenty of things in the months she spent with the dwarves; imps, demons, tricksters, the fair folk... But a vaguely dirty boy ? A mere three years below her if she had to guess ? Maybe Snow White was just desperate for a friend closer to her age. Perhaps that's why she willingly took off after spotting him over the garden wall, abandoning the books on etiquette she was supposed to be studying.
