Intro Post

Realized I never made an intro post for this blog! In fairness, I never really expected anyone to see it, but now that I've had the courage to post my art, this feels like something I should do!

So hi, you can call me Byrdi! They/them pronouns, I'm a creature of the woods who was given access to the internet and made a Tumblr blog. My other accounts are @screeching-parrot (this is for my reblogs) and @official-ornithology-posts (a collection of posts about the study of birds)

I like birds (and really just nature generally), rock music, making art, video games, and my lovely lovely friends. The fandoms I post about tend to change over time (as do all things), but currently my fandoms are such: - Hollow Knight - Deltarune - Hermitcraft/Life Series/MCYT - The Silt Verses - Arcane - Furries (if you count that as a fandom) The tags I use for this blog are pretty straightforward, but I'll put them here anyways: #byrdi draws - for all the art I make, both fanart and original #byrdi squawks - for when I am yapping about whatever Don't be shy about sending an ask or a DM, I love making new friends. abused kids reaching late teenage years: it seems I have trauma symptoms, which is odd because nothing traumatic had ever happened to me... sure I don't have many memories of my childhood but I am sure that everything that happened was 100% my fault and also normal and I am supposed to be strong enough to be over that and it was a long time ago so. That's all good. Now. I need to hide these trauma symptoms or my parents will kill me.

Nice Fursuit!

UNPROMTED GIFT ART JUMPSCARE for @byrdi-the-bird of one of their furry characters (I have no idea if you've given this guy an actual name) finding Siday Fighel at a furry convention!

Unbeknownst to them, Siday isn't a furry, but an actual sapient bipedal cat-like alien, what a hilarious misunderstanding that totally won't lead to anything whatsoever!

...I'm foreshadowing, but I genuinely don't know what kind of misunderstandment induced hijinks this would lead to, I just wanted to draw Siday at a furry convention looking confused.

I read this to mean "Christ menstruation", as in, Jesus Christ is menstruating. And I was about to defend it being a stupid concept, like yeah it's odd but let people have whatever headcananons they want about their blorbo. And then I re-read this post and realized.
