How’s your heart doing?

It’s doing really well, thank you for asking.

Though it was my shortest relationship, I think my last breakup was the hardest I’ve experienced because he had so much power over me, and he didn’t invest nearly as much as I did.

But the past few months I’ve grown a lot stronger and reinforced my values and now am overflowing with self-love. Though it was hard (and sometimes still is), I’ve learned to let go of anger. I was really hurt but now see that as a consequence of the circumstances of where we were both at in our lives, not a reflection of him simply ‘being an fuckboi’. People are 3-dimensional, and the pain he caused me was a reflection of pain he was hiding from me, I think. He’s just trying get by in life and makes mistakes along the way, the same as me. I simply invested in the wrong person.

For the most part, I’m doing great now. Sometimes I do look back and still feel a bit disappointed, but I’m definitely much more secure and and confident in myself and about the future and where I’m heading.

Beyond the Disney and “friendship is power!!” themes, I really like how deep the concepts in Kingdom Hearts can get like the concepts of memory and existence. Or maybe it’s just me. LOL.

I can see that. Like what makes life meaningful. I still have a lot more games to get through but looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds

OH MY GOD I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS! I played all the games in the original consoles. Lol. You’re in for a trip! Also, the story gets very convoluted. Lol

Yeah I played the original and chain of memories as a kid, but the rest I’m trying to catch up with on my PS4. I definitely pay close attention when I play lol, but it’s fun seeing the parallels and shoutouts between games

Mainly RPGs. I love Persona, Zelda, and am also making my way through the Kingdom Hearts games to understand the story before I try KH3. Also some random ones like Stardew Valley.

YAAAAS. Oh my god, I love Yuna! She killed a fucking god, had her imaginary boyfriend fade away, AND THEN, went on a lesbian road trip. She fucking save the world TWICE. A true queen.

So who is your favorite Final Fantasy character?

Oh gosh…what a loaded question.

Uhhhh Yuna comes to mind, I love her stoicism, maturity, and growth in the face of her bleak circumstances (at least during the main game…before FFX-2 kinda took her character development a few steps back, in my opinion). At the beginning of FFX she was already a selfless person, condemning herself to death for the good of society as a 17 years old. But on top of that, she struggled with feeling love for the first time AND realizing that the same religion that she centered all of her faith and teachings on was corrupt and built off lies while at the end of the day STILL prioritized the good of people…yeah I think she’s a badass.

But also can’t forget Vivi, Garnet, Eiko, and Locke…

…Fran & Balthier too… there’s so many!
