Technique practice with spare paint. Not as visible as I would prefer, but the way I used the brush to make leaves is something I was practicing.
The splatters on the other side were accidental, but I feel it almost looks like leaves from the tree coming loose which was fun to look at

The chunky heel is actually hollow to let her hook her back talon inside it. It lets her hide her feet in a normal shape if she wants, without having to cram her feet into mortal shoes. Also fun with all sorts of flowy shapes and monster features
