so hey. my log in still works! that being said, i’m probably not coming back to this blog.

there’s not really any reason to, there’s nothing really on the rpc for me anymore, and i think it’s run it’s course. maybe i’ll feel different later, but for now, i’m keeping this blog on ice.

i gotta be honest, i ain’t feeling this blog anymore. i didn’t have much going in the first place, most of the few reasons i had for logging onto it are more or less gone, i can’t be bothered to try and do anything to drum up interest and i’m way too lazy to put in so much effort for so little reward. so, i think i’m gonna move what i do have going here to discord, see how that suits me and try and either bring back one of my other blogs or start fresh altogether.

i might try and stick to oc and fandomless stuff cause honestly? shit’s tiring sometimes XD

so yeah, gonna keep this blog on semi-hiatus for the time being and see what happens.

Harvey’s smile seemed to make Alexis’s worries melt away instantly, causing her own smile to form. “I’m sure it’s just me overreacting,” the young woman began, running her fingers through her messy blonde hair to push it out of her face, “but in all honesty, I’ve never really had…this.” Her hand motioned between the two of them with her last comment. It was a bit embarrassing to admit, especially since this was their first time ever being intimate with each other. However, she had a feeling that Harvey knew what she meant. Then again, maybe he didn’t, and was going to assume she meant that she had been a virgin.

“By this I meant a connection…Unless I’m overthinking that too,” the young woman chuckled, her gaze dropping once again. “But I don’t think I am. Simply because, out of the few months I’ve been working with you, you’re the only one to treat me with respect.” Alexis smiled softly and flicked her eyes up to meet her boss’s. “You know that I’m more than just looks, and how smart I actually am. You allow me to actually do what I came to this law firm for; learn. You’re patient with me, kind, you allow me to make suggestions or explore different ways to try and piece together everything. And all of that, Harvey, is more than you being a decent human.”

The young woman laid back down and cuddled up to Harvey, taking his hand into her own once again. “I’ve never had anyone treat me the way you do, and have that desire for me, but hold themselves back for whatever reason. Whether it was out of respect, you were just being a gentleman, or you were scared too - anything…Men have never seen me as anything more than my looks.” Alexis looked up into the older man’s eyes before she kissed him softly.

“I’m just worried that you’re going to either say that we have to stop this because you don’t want a scandal, or you’ll find someone closer to your age…” She was fully aware of how silly and insecure she sounded, especially for a 25-year-old, but it was true. The regret that Harvey might feel could come from the age difference, her being someone who was only meant to learn from him, or any number of things. But Alexis worried more about the media possibly finding out, and him ending whatever this was because of them. The young woman certainly didn’t want to hurt Harvey in any way, especially his career. And some people might frown upon their DA parading around with a young model/student on his arm.

No matter how hard they tried to make their relationship between them stay just between them, there was always that risk of someone finding out. And even if they didn’t, would Harvey prefer to keep this on the low forever? She sighed as those newly imagined worries filled her mind, and cuddled up closer to the older man.

“If it’s of any comfort to you, I really do like you. And I hope that we can be together,” Alexis spoke softly, kissing his shoulder. “Even if you want to keep it a secret for a little bit, I don’t mind. I just don’t want to be a secret forever.”

Well Harvey had to give the blonde credit. She’d clearly put much more thought into this than he had. Which probably should be clear from the get go, considering that this happened largely because of his own impulses. And sure, he’d done so once it was clear she wanted it just as much, but he did still cave, didn’t he? He could understand why one might only see her for her looks pretty well, even before this. Leggy blonde with a nice rack tends to get attention one way or another. Gotham wasn’t exactly an exception there. Thankfully, there were at least some people in his walk of life that were a little more inclined to listen to what was coming out of said women’s mouths than letting their eyes stray. Harvey being one of them.

Though you could argue, suppose, that he’d done a bit of both in this scenario in particular.

“Well clearly I’m not opposed to the idea.” he chuckled, adjusting his positioning on the bed, eyes glancing over the body that he’d had trembling in his arms just a few moments earlier. There’s a visual that’ll be stuck in his mind for a while. As for a relationship? It might be a little too early to call how things would end up playing out, regarding public perception. But given the myriad of other issues, the corruption especially, in this city, Harvey found it doubtful that this would be seen as a big deal in comparison. If only because he didn’t quite have a say in her actual progression in this field and if so, he was staying firmly hands off with that if he could.

“We could cross that bridge when we get to it.” he uttered, wrapping an arm around the blonde’s waist and pulling her into another kiss. “I’m certainly up for seeing where things go from here if you are.”

Alexis released Harvey’s hand and rolled over to lay on her stomach - her head propped up with one arm, the other resting on her boss. She idly outlined the muscles of his chest as she continued to smile. “You know,” she began, licking her lips and dropping her gaze to watch her fingers move, “I didn’t exactly expect this to happen. I didn’t kiss you to try and get into your bed,” the young woman confessed as her smile slowly faded. “Clearly you wanted this too, but I don’t want you to think that this was my plan.”

Her eyes then looked back up at her boss, studying his features and waiting to see his expression. “I mean, I’ve thought about it, but I never wanted to act on it because I was scared. I was scared that if it did happen, you’d get in trouble. However, I was more scared of you turning me down…” Alexis could feel herself blushing as she admitted everything to Harvey. Well, almost eveything.

She took the sheet that was under his blanket and covered herself up. Suddenly, her coyness had returned and the young woman sat up. Alexis faced the older man, but hung her head to watch her hands, now in her lap, pick at her nail polish.

“You don’t regret it, do you?” Her voice was soft as she lifted her head to look at Harvey once again. “I don’t, but now I’m realizing what just happened. And as incredible as it was and as badly as I want to continue this, I’d understand if and why you would. I can leave now if you want me to and I’ll even look for another law firm to intern at.”

“Is there any reason to regret it?” he thought aloud. The thought of regret hadn’t really occurred to him. If it had, it probably would have done so beforehand and things wouldn’t have progressed to this point to begin with. Impulsive a development as it might have been. And it was probably a little too soon given that they’d just “finished up” a moment or two ago, and were still basically catching their breath. But it’s not like there was much to really regret. It’s not like there wasn’t any real lack of ethics here. It’s not like either of them were indulging in infidelity as far as he knew. Nobody was coerced or manipulated. It was just mutual attraction coming to a boiling point.

“And I’m not sure why I’d be getting in trouble either.” he noted aloud. Though, if he thought about it, there would be some people probably looking for an excuse to give him shit for something. Any reason they could get, perhaps because he was mostly squeaky clean for the most part otherwise. And we can’t have genuine basic decency and altruism in Gotham now, can we?

“I’m sure it’ll be fine.” he finally said with a reassuring smile. Granted though, it was probably a bit early to call. And it wasn’t really anyone’s business but their own.

Perhaps he needed to cut loose like that more than he’d thought? Or he’d just had something really, really good there.
