“Both.—Not sure which facts are true and which ones are twisted to have a story, and the fire, it’s just…surreal.” He answered the familiar voice while still fixated on the words printed before blue orbs landed on the other. Almost immediately, Grey’s eyes fell to the crutch under Caiden’s arm, already making assumptions at what happened. “What the hell happened?” Was all that came from his mouth, though was it meant about the fire or the other’s leg was the real question; Grey genuinely curious about both.
It had been surreal, in every sense of the word. One minute, everyone had been dancing and enjoying themselves; the next, it was like something out of a movie, with everyone scrambling to make it out alive. He recalled the screams, the heat of the fire, and the debris as it fell onto him. With the question, his gaze dropped to the crutch before lifting back to the other, “Guess I’m apart of what’s true.” He attempted a grin, but it only lasted mere seconds. “Fire took over the house pretty quickly, a lot of debris came falling down on everyone. Guess I was one of the lucky ones to get caught under it.” He rolled his shoulders, knowing that many others had suffered way worse than he had.
