This week is going well so far ☺️ I’ve been eating really well and practicing a lot of reflection and self control. I’ve been tracking what I eat and still eating really tasty food. This is our menu for this week - we’ve had Cajun steak and veg, lemon garlic chicken and veg, and homemade pizza so far. Then tonight I have chipotle lime prawn skewers with fresh veggie salsa and tortillas. Tomorrow is beef burgers, Saturday is taco salad, and Sunday is lentil and vegetable bolognese.
For lunch so far I’ve been having rice with chickpeas and brocolli or rice with tuna and salad; and snacks have mainly been apples and almonds, homemade banana oat cookies, and toast.
The weekend is always a challenge so we will see how we go 😳 we will probably be out most of Saturday afternoon so I will try and pack snacks and to be mindful!
Today I went out and brought a George Foreman grill! I feel like this will be a big help in my kitchen bc I can just put food on and leave it for a few minutes. I can do a lot of meal prep for it (freezing marinated chicken/steak, pre-cutting veggies) and throw it all together nice and quickly.
I also did a quick shop and got a few things to see me through the week. Tonight’s dinner will be Cajun rubbed steaks with baby potatoes and red peppers. I also bought chipotle seasoning which will be super nice for next time, and I plan to do lemon garlic chicken breast with asparagus tomorrow night! I already have a lot of ideas for meals/flavours to do with the grill.
I tried to do some exercise today. I’m still limited with my ankle but I need to start to doing something (anything!) as I’m at an all time high of 108kg. So I had a bit of a dance then a very short skipping session, with a lot of stretching after. It was enough to get my heart rate up!

Lunch and dinner:
Chicken + vegetable rice paper rolls (homemade which is why they look so bad lmao)
Beef + bean nachos with raw salsa
This week’s workouts so far have been:
Monday: arms + shoulders
Tuesday: swimming + pool physio
Wednesday: chest + back
Today is Thursday and I may do a short mat session with some core work and basic leg exercises, and am considering doing a gentle leg session tomorrow to test the waters and see what I can and can’t do while my leg is still recovering!

Yesterday: preworkout + banana with PB, yogurt with berries and granola, and nachos. I did an arm/shoulder workout and it was great! Nice and sore today 😅
Today: I took a thermos of tea, my Bluetooth speaker, and a towel and blanket onto the beach and sat and recharged for a few hours. Now I am relaxing watching Netflix and waiting for my grandma to come over for lunch. Then tonight I am likely going to the local pool for a gentle swim and some leg exercises in the water ☺️

Today I went back to the gym for the first time! It was so good to go back - I stopped going when we moved house and then broke my leg 2 weeks later so all up it’s been around 12 weeks since my last workout 😭 AND I’ve never been to this gym before so it was great to finally see what it’s like - it’s great. I eased back into a chest & back workout, and will probably do arms & shoulders tomorrow. I am walking quite steadily now however I’m still not able to do any leg exercises or cardio BUT I’m so glad to be back!
Also... standard wrap pizza for lunch and some yogurt, berries and granola for dessert today 😋
