omg can you please explain how "baking" works cause I don't understand what I'm meant to be doing
The term refers to letting translucent powder sit on your face for about 10 minutes, which allows your body heat melt the makeup onto your skin, leaving you with a flawless, poreless finish. The key for baking is adding a lot of powder, which creates a heavier makeup look that is perfect for when you’re taking a lot of pictures or you’re out and don’t have time to fix your makeup.
Here’s how to do it:
Follow a normal makeup routine: moisturize your skin, especially if you have wrinkles because the higher quantity of powder may emphasize them. Apply primer onto your eyelids and areas where your face gets oily.
After you’ve applied foundation, apply concealer under your eyes and upward toward your temples and pat it into your skin with a sponge until it is fully blended. The concealer will make your face look brighter and younger.
Apply a heavy layer of translucent powder on top of the blended concealer. You can also apply it on the center of your forehead, on the area under your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
Let the translucent powder sit for about 10 minutes so that your skin would absorb it. It should fill in any creases and lines and make your skin look poreless.
Once the time is up, use a powder brush to brush away the excess powder and blend any harsh edges. You should look flawless!
I want to make this into a poster.

This week I was sent a 29 piece brush set to take a look at. It’s one of the biggest sets I’ve had before, and it contains one of every necessary brush you could require when working as makeup artist. This set is courtesy of OPV Beauty, a company that specialises in a range of beauty orientated products, such as this brush set, hair oils, hair extensions and false eyelashes.
First impressions are quite good. I like the Rose Gold ferrules on each brush, and the handles are a nice gloss Black with ‘OPV BRUSHES’ printed on them in Gold. One thing that niggles me a little, not just about this particular brush set but many up and coming brush brands, as many do not bother to number each individual brush - which makes my job difficult when trying to differentiate to you all which one I’m using in tutorials etc. Online they don’t explain anything about the brushes, regarding what the bristles are made of etc.. To me the majority look like synthetic hair, and a few of them natural hair. The tautness of many of the brushes are very good! For example; The pencil brush has a nice cut, and the tip of the brush has the right amount of firmness but still soft. Even some of the more high-end brands can’t get the balance right with bristle tension and softness, so I’m impressed for the price. You have to remember, this is an ‘affordable’ brush set, so you need to keep that in mind when reviewing it. This set contains 3 duo fibre brushes, and I’m a fan of the middle dome-shaped one. On appearance it rivals one of my favourite Crown Brush duo fibre foundation brushes. I am yet to put it through it’s paces but I am looking forward to seeing how good it is. As I mentioned, the set contains one brush for every makeup requirement; Blush Brush 2 Highlight / Cheek Brushes Angled Cheek Brush Chisel Brush (Ideal for smoking out the lower lash line) Small Crease Blender Small Flat Shader Brush Large Flat Shader Brush Extra Large Flat Shader Brush 2 Fluffy Blenders Concealer Brush Smaller Concealer Brush 2 Foundation Brushes (different thickness) Pencil Brush Larger Fluffy Blender Angled Shadow Brush 2 Eyeliner Brushes Angled Liner Flat Liner Brush Lip Brush 3 Duo Fibre Brushes (different shapes & sizes) 3 Powder Brushes (varied sizes)
This entire set is currently on offer at 50% OFF, which makes the price only £99!! Which is amazing for all these brushes. You can check them out for yourself on their website here!
