After a moment or two, filled with slurping and chewing, the monster shakes her head with a laugh. Her shoulders fall casually and she gives a lop-sided smile. “I’m sorry, Randy. Can you tell I don’t get out much yet?” She tries to reestablish the joking tone she’d slipped into every now and again that day. “Especially with cute monsters that help complete strangers with their homework.”
He laughs, shaking his head slightly at her light-hearted, joking tone. When she continues he blushes faintly, turning a bit violet on the sides of his face. “Oh, well… hey. It’s not all just out of the goodness of my heart. I mean, I wouldn’t have gotten to know you otherwise, right? So I’d say I got a good deal, Catalina.” Randy rubs the back of his neck, glancing away.
The monster smiled down at her sandwich, temporarily distracted by the fact he blushed a shade of purple, before propping her cheek up one her tentacle. Her eyes slid back to the lizard, “That’s…sweet.” Catalina tore a cheesy morsel off of her lunch and popped it into her mouth. “Well it’s not a…limited time offer deal? I really like studying with you. I could give you my number aaand we could do it again, sometime.”
"Oh, yeah, definitely, Catalina!" Randy realizes he sounds a bit too eager to meet up with her again and coughs lightly. "I mean, I’ve really missed having a study partner. Especially one as helpful as you. So I’d love to… uh, study. Regularly.”
Set more at ease she props her tentacles on the table, leaning over them slightly, comfortably engaged in the conversation. She smiles, but her brow crinkles. "Missed having? What happen to the last one?"
