Look at those perfectly uniform lines! What skill!
Aww it looks so pretty with its new accesories
That bird is an adorable fashionista.
HES WEARING THEM
Its a she because only female lovebirds do this! They put things in their feathers as a means to carry it to where they want to build a nest. It takes a lot of practice!
I need to train my birds to do this.

Hiroyuki Doi’s Circular Obsession. “My challenge, precisely, is how small circles I can draw,” said Doi, speaking through a translator. Doi’s drawings contain thousands of pulsating, clustered orbs, inked with a trusty Pilot pen.

Sleep Tight 🌚
I needed to clear some moss from the backyard since its engulfing the patio and stone steps. It seemed sad to just throw it away, so I thought I’d try making a terrarium. I love the way it turned out!

RE: "recovering" from mental illness
I think that terminology really just lends to harmful and futile actions towards/against ppl living who have a/several mental illnesses, if that makes sense? I think if anything, the term recovery should be used to describe the process that a mentally ill person undergoes when they are unlearning internalized ableism. Because in my experience with depression and anxiety, there are no cures, just coping methods. And those coping methods aim to be as effective as possible so that I can keep functioning in a society that demands I have no mental illness, or else I labelled am broken or at a disadvantage, and am to blame for these aforementioned things. Recovery in the context that it is so often used puts the onus on mentally ill persons to make themselves better, to submit to/attain the standards set by ableist society as what is most acceptable for the highest volume/quality of individual production (within capitalism, for example). I would only be comfortable with the term recovery if it were exclusively linked with the actions of people who have mental illness recovering their agency and dignity from a society that constantly denies it from us, while also having the term “recovery” holding those oppressors and oppressive systems accountable for the harm they’ve exacted on people with mental illness.

sort of a project for art class I did this past semester, both as a exercise to see how well I could seamlessly copy various styles, and as a poltical statement to show HOW EASY IT IS TO NOT MAKE YOUR COVERS SEXIST IT ONLY TAKES A FEW TWEAKS GUYS COME ON
but yeah on the left is the original art and on the right are my edits
