i like to imagine that intern!red thought mira was going to kill purple if they let them blow the whistle.... it would be really in line with their decisions throughout the series which are genuinely keeping-purple-safe oriented through a distorted worldview of status quo = safe. i wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that when they stepped out of line to try and fix the reactor it got them in trouble.... tldr red is whipped
