This looks a bit scuffed, im ill at the moment lmao. Also I've noticed that I have a pattern of making Macaque stare at Wukong with yearning eyes that I have yet to perfect shshshaha. He's just imagining this, that's why this looks so deceptively soft—it's also why Wukong looks more colorful and simple ig? And bright.

For once, I drew Macaque and not Wukong! Yes, that's Mac, sorry if it isn't very comprehensible but what part of this was even meant to be—he's a mess.

Alright, so firstly—sorry for the.. less than great quality. I accidentally burnt myself out by rendering a different unrelated piece for 7+ hours and hyperfocused a little too hard. But, I also still wanted to draw for the chapter even though my ass struggled to even form an idea, so I just drew what I remembered and well.. boom, shitty doodle. It was admittedly fun though, to be messy.

The past few chapters has had me in a state of heartache and frustration, and half of it is caused by Azure's mere existance (FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU—) and these characters' less than healthy coping mechanisms.

I MANAGED TO FINISH THIS TODAY—Holy hell, I almost gave up drawing this because I was suffering with the pose and colors. I wasn't going to color this, initially, but I did anyways. And then I got lazy and didn't do the background. I tried to match up the descriptions, even the smudged eyeliner (though it probably isn't that visible bc of the effects..)

I wasn't expecting to get called platonic crush so hi platonic admirer, have my art. So glad these idiots are making progress bit by bit.
