“I’m not. I don’t even have glasses that is how good my eyesight is.” She told him with a smile. Kyla was surprised that he actually noticed that in her question thing. “I didn’t think anyone would notice that.” It made her feel even happier that he noticed little things like that. “This is amazing Cam.” She told him honestly. “It’s so romantic.” She thought it was just going to be a date to like the movies or a restaurant, not something as amazing as this.

“Well then. I guess I’ll just have to show you how gorgeous you are.” He smiled even wider when he heard her reaction, feeling happy with himself. He wasn’t familiar with any of this stuff yet he got this right. “Yeah well - I wanted to make our first date one to remember.” He let go of her hand and walked over to the small table and chairs, pulling out one for her. “For you, ma’am.” He teased with a grin.

“I look in the mirror all the time. That’s how I can say that I’m not honestly.” She followed him off the ship. It felt nice to finally be able to leave the ship. She hasn’t been off of it since she arrived. And it made it even better being here with Cameron. “Is that your way of hinting that our date is on the beach?” She asked with a smile. This night was getting so romantic. The weather was beautiful, and helped set the mood.

“You must be blind then. At least then I can make it my mission to show you that you are.” He swung their hands slightly as they walked together, heading towards the beach. “Maybeeeee.” He laughed, going down the pathway onto the beach and leading her. “You said online that your dream date was something private - so I did that, putting a little twist on it.” He said, smiling when they came to the date. A small table for two, food piping hot and candles everywhere. “I got the cooks on the ship to help me make something.”

The face of their mother had haunted Gemma’s thoughts since she arrived at Oasis, the guilt of having Cameron and herself away ate her up inside. Even though she knew Cameron took care of their mother the most but she still felt a very strong protection and loving care for her. Ever since their father, their mother had never been the same - dark thoughts plaguing her thoughts that only made Gemma feel sick. She just hoped she made herself busy while they were away.

“As I’ll ever be.” She shot a small smile at him and leaned into his side, watching the screen load and their mother coming on. “Mum!” She exclaimed happily in response. She noticed the heavy bags under her eyes but the smile on her lips was all Gemma could pay attention to.

“How are you? You okay?” Cameron asked straight away, not being able to help himself. He didn’t want to act so concerned straight away, but it was just part of his nature. Their mother smiled, nodding. “Course I am, baby. I got some extra shifts at the co-op, your auntie came down to see me for the Halloween weekend - I’m doing alright. Just tired and missing my two kids.”

“We miss you too. For the first time being away from you, I didn’t realize how much of a mummy’s boy I am.” Cam joked, provoking laughs from everyone. He quickly composed himself though when he heard her next question. “So how are you two doing though? How’s the boat?”

Kyla was nervous for the date since she had never been on a date before. She also wasn’t the most girly girls, so she had to go get a dress before Cameron came to pick her up for it. She took a deep breath before she opened the door. She smiled when she saw him with the flowers. “Aww. You’re so sweet.”

He instantly smiled seeing Kyla come into view, his heart fluttering slightly at her smile. He shook his head with a chuckle, “I try my best.” He said, handing her the flowers before his eyes locked with hers. “You look beautiful, Kyla. Wow.” His awe-filled eyes flickered up and down before offering his hand. “You ready?”

She smiled at the flowers. Kyla was now super excited but also more nervous now. Cameron put a lot effort into this, and she really hoped that she wouldn’t screw it up. Kyla liked him a lot, but she still didn’t know why he liked her. “You looked handsome. A lot better than I do.” She said taking his hand. “I hope I am.” She giggled.

“You obviously haven’t looked in the mirror then. Really, super gorgeous.” He kissed her hand that held his, grinning at her giggle. “Great, lets go then.” He squeezed her hand gently as they walked through the ship halls, dimly lit at night. Cameron felt his nerves getting to him but looking at her and her smile helped a lot. Eventually they were off the ship and walking off port and down the street. “Not very far from here is a beach. Gorgeous view at night.” He told her.

Cameron eventually walked up to Kyla’s door, the nervous feeling settling in his stomach. Since they started seeing each other, he had been planning their first date down to the last detail. He knew he was her first boyfriend - he wanted to be the first to sweep her off her feet as well. Dressed in the nicest clothing he had and flowers in hand, he knocked on the door and waited.
