after having his heart broken twice, dylan had been pretty dead set on not being in a relationship with anyone new for a while. he didnโt want to get hurt again; he didnโt want to fall into that depression that had him drinking again like he had with britt. he just felt like his heart couldnโt take it, so when he started with dove, he had told himself they would never be anything more than friends that fucked. when he realized that he was falling for dove, or that he had fallen for dove, it scared the fuck out of him. especially since he wasnโt sure dove felt anything back, he was scared he was going to ruin the whole thing. ย but it was probably for the best if he put his feelings out there now, because if he didnโt, he was just going to keep sleeping with dove and just fall deeper and get hurt anyway. that was the last thought in his head once dove opened the door to her room, dylan shook himself out of his thoughts as his lips curled into a slow, easy smile. โhello there, you look beautiful as always,โ and dylan didnโt bother holding back his eyes moving over her slowly, because really, she was so beautiful and dylan felt lucky for having her in his life in any way.
not being able to stop himself, dylan leaned down to press his lips softly against doveโs lips. it was a simple kiss, just a way of greeting and not in the way of starting something. he closed his eyes for a moment as their lips pressed together, but then he pulled back and chewed on his bottom lip and looked at anywhere but dove for a moment. he greeted her with a kiss all the time, so heโs not sure why he was freaking out about it right now, but he was. ย dylan calmed himself down before his eyes rested back on dove, his cheeks a little pink from a blush that was slowly spreading across his cheeks but he figured if he ignored it, so would dove. ย he just offered the tiny girl his arm, his grin now looking everything boyish and charming, something he does easily before speaking again. โthe place where i got reservations is a short walk away from here if you donโt mind walking? i just figured since it was such a nice night, you wouldnโt mind a little stroll?โ
it was pure coincidence that she and dylan had ended up in london together, but that still had to mean something right? it only made sense that the two would see each other, especially since with their busy schedules that sometimes would happen very sparingly. so she was taking any chance she could get to see him and what better place to see him than something that was both out of their own comfort zone of LA? it was perfect and she was pretty excited to get to see him. she smiled at his compliment, her own eyes moving up and down dylanโs body.ย โyouโre looking pretty good yourself too dyl, i really donโt think you give yourself enough credit.โ she stated matter of factly.ย
once she felt dylanโs lips against her own, doveโs eyes fluttered shut and she reached up to rest a hand on his cheek for a moment to take a moment to enjoy the affection.ย it was like second nature for them to greet each other that way, seemed like a no brainer to her but still there was something in the back of her mind that was gnawing at her and she couldnโt quite put her finger on it. she dropped her hand back down to her side, exiting her room and closing the door behind her. she happily looped her arm with his, leaning her head against his arm for a moment.ย โi think that sounds perfect, itโs absolutely beautiful out right now. a great night for a stroll, plus you gotta tell me all about what project youโve been working on while in london.โย
