As the semester wraps up, so does our winter run of campus coffee club. these past few months have been filled with cosy coffees, festive treats, coffee crawls and discovering some brilliant spots across campus and the city.

Thank you so much to everyone who followed along, shared recommendations, and supported our little coffee journey this winter. it’s been such a fun project to work on and bring to life.

While we may not return in the same way, we might still pop in from time to time with the occasional coffee review, café photo or cosy update - so keep an eye on our socials just in case 👀☕

Campus Coffee Club Review: Joli, Stoneybatter

This week, the Campus Coffee Club stopped by Joli in Stoneybatter, a bright and stylish café known for its relaxed atmosphere and creative iced drinks.

What We Ordered: Coffees: Vanilla Iced Latte, Caramel Iced Latte, Mocha Food: Ham & Cheese Toastie, Croissant

Our Ratings (Out of 5)

Taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Joli delivered refreshing iced lattes with a good balance of sweetness and coffee flavour. The mocha was indulgent and satisfying, while the ham & cheese toastie was hearty and filling. The croissant added a light, buttery finish. Overall, a tasty mix of drinks and bites that made the visit enjoyable.

Price ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Prices leaned towards the higher side for a student budget. While the quality was solid, Joli feels more like an occasional treat spot rather than a regular go‑to for everyday coffee runs.

Customer Service ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Staff were polite and helpful, though the service felt a little rushed at times. The atmosphere was pleasant, but not as warm or welcoming as some other cafés we’ve visited.

Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The café has a nice vibe, but it was very hot inside during our visit. The space felt quite small, and overall it didn’t seem like an ideal spot for working or studying. Better suited for a quick coffee catch‑up than a long stay.

Campus Coffee Club Review: Beanhive, Dawson Street

This week, the Campus Coffee Club stopped by Beanhive on Dawson Street, a cosy café known for its quirky vibe and creative latte art.

Taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆   Beanhive impressed us with smooth, well‑balanced coffee and fun latte art that added a cheerful touch. The lattes were rich and comforting, while the decaf flat white held its own with a nice texture and flavour. Overall, a solid coffee experience that felt worth the stop.

Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆   For a central Dublin café, the prices were fair and student‑friendly. It’s affordable enough to be a regular go‑to, not just a treat stop, which makes it stand out on Dawson Street.

Customer Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆   The staff were warm and welcoming, even during busy hours. Service was quick, and the friendly atmosphere made the café feel inviting. It’s the kind of place you’d happily linger with friends or study notes.

This week, we’re celebrating the flat white: a sleek, sophisticated favourite that’s all about smooth texture and bold flavour. It’s the minimalist’s dream: no frills, just perfectly balanced espresso and velvety steamed milk.

Smaller than a latte but stronger in taste, the flat white delivers a rich coffee hit with a silky finish. It’s ideal for those who like their caffeine smooth, punchy, and effortlessly cool.

Whether you’re heading into a morning lecture or powering through a deadline, the flat white keeps things sharp, stylish, and delicious. It’s the kind of drink that says, “I’ve got this.”

This week, we’re spicing things up with the chai latte: a bold, aromatic blend that’s anything but basic. Think cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and clove all dancing together in a steamy swirl of comfort!!

The chai latte is perfect for those who want a break from coffee but still crave something warm, flavourful, and energizing. It’s sweet, spicy, and just a little bit cheeky:) ideal for crisp Dublin mornings or cozy catch-ups between lectures.

Campus Coffee Club Review: Spilt Milk

☕ This week, the Campus Coffee Club wandered into the heart of Dublin to check out Spilt Milk on Drury Street.

What We Ordered:   Coffees: Oat Flat White Treats: 2 Kinder Bueno Hot Chocolate Bombs

Our Ratings (Out of 5)

Taste ⭐⭐⭐☆☆   Spilt Milk brought some fun to the table with their Kinder Bueno hot chocolate bombs, they were definitely a novelty, but the flavour didn’t quite hit the wow factor we hoped for.

The oat flat white on the other hand was decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was good, just not great.

Price ⭐⭐☆☆☆   This one stung a little. While the drinks were creative, the price point felt steep for a student budget. It’s more of a treat-yourself stop than a regular go-to. If you're watching your wallet, this might be a once-in-a-while indulgence.

Customer Service ⭐⭐⭐☆☆   The staff were polite and efficient, but the vibe wasn’t particularly warm or standout. No complaints, but no sparkle either. It felt more transactional than welcoming.

We grabbed a latte at Kennedy’s on Grangegorman campus, and it was everything we hoped for—warm, velvety, and perfectly poured. Ideal for sipping while reviewing notes or catching up with friends between classes.

If you’re looking for a reliable pick-me-up that’s smooth, subtle, and endlessly customizable, the latte’s your go-to.

Campus Coffee Club Review: Kennedy's Grangegorman

This week, the Campus Coffee Club took a stroll over to East Quad, Grangegorman Campus, to Kennedy's Coffee.

What We Ordered:

Coffees: Decaf Mocha, Oat Vanilla Latte, Decaf Flat White

Treats: Sausage Roll

Taste⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Kennedy’s delivered on flavour, especially the sausage roll, which was flaky perfection. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, with the mocha being the standout.

Price⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

We found Kennedy's to be priced very reasonably, in line with typical Dublin prices. Whether you’re grabbing a quick pick-me-up between lectures or settling in for a study session, this cup brings the comfort without the cost. It’s proof that great coffee doesn’t have to come with a side of guilt, just good vibes and even better taste.

Atmosphere⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

There’s something special about grabbing a coffee in Kennedy's in East Quad. With music classes echoing through the halls, the atmosphere is effortlessly chill, like a built-in soundtrack to your study break! Whether you’re studying or catching up with friends, the space invites you to slow down and soak it all in. Bonus: there’s no shortage of comfy seating, so you’ll always find a cozy corner to sip and stay awhile.

Weekly Highlight: The Mighty Mocha

This week, we’re celebrating the mocha, a rich, chocolatey hug in a cup that’s perfect for those chilly Dublin mornings or late-night study sessions.

The mocha is where espresso meets hot chocolate, topped with silky steamed milk and often a swirl of whipped cream. It’s the sweet spot between a latte and a hot chocolate, giving you that caffeine kick and dessert-level comfort.

We tried the mocha at Kennedy's on Grangegorman campus, and it did not disappoint. Smooth espresso, velvety chocolate, and just the right amount of indulgence. Bonus points if you pair it with a flaky pastry!

Campus Coffee Club Review: Elliot's Bakery Dublin

This week, the Campus Coffee Club took a stroll just 20 minutes from TU Dublin Grangegorman, to check out Elliot’s Bakery, a cozy spot tucked away with serious pastry game and a caffeine lineup worth talking about.

What We Ordered:

Coffees: Cappuccino, Latte, Americano

Treats: Almond Croissant & Banana Bread (yes, we went all in!)

Taste⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Elliot’s delivered on flavour, especially the almond croissant, which was flaky perfection. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, with the cappuccino being the standout.

Wallet-friendly and perfect for student budgets. Quality without the guilt.

Atmosphere⭐⭐☆☆☆

Chilled vibes with just the right amount of energy. It’s the kind of place you could sit and chat for hours without feeling rushed. The only downside being the lack of seating. This could be a deal-breaker for students looking for somewhere to sit and drink a coffee while doing work.
