If you’re Sri Lankan or know anyone Sri Lankan please help! Any background is possible but would be helpful if Sri Lankan in particular.
Vithya Alphons is a 24-year old from London and has been diagnosed with cancer. She’s in her final years of University and her condition is getting worse. She needs a stem cell transplant but she still has not found the right one.
Blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan is now searching the world’s donor registers for a donor whose tissue type matches Vithya’s. But the search is more complex due to her Sri Lankan background. [x]

This year I’m a senior and since I was recently diagnosed with leukemia I wasn’t planning on going to my senior homecoming. My motto during my treatment is “take my hand and drag me head first fearless” and to “stay fearless”. Today my doorbell rang and my amazing friend Bridger was dressed as @taylorswift asking if I’d want to be fearless at homecoming!!! BEST DATE AWARD. LIKE EVER. 😹😻❤️👩🏼
Update: homecoming was a blast and I couldn’t have asked for a better night
I’m gonna be one of those people for a second. But I was taking progress pics today, and really feeling myself. When I was sick with lymphoma I lost so much weight I was about 85 pounds soaking wet… In an effort to get my weight back up I was instructed to eat whatever whenever, I was even placed on TPN which is really just liquid hamburgers (0/10 do not recommend). However once i got better I struggled a lot with body image. Sure I was back at my pre-cancer weight, however it wasn’t muscle anymore, pure fat. I would try everything to lose the weight again, even as far as refusing to eat meals. I worked out here and there but never for the right reasons. I can proudly say I’ve been going to the gym 5/7 days of the week and eating 3 balanced meals a day with a few snacks here and here. Im working on cutting myself some slack on the days I miss a workout or splurge on an ice cream. But regardless I’m very proud of myself.
Markel is a 4 year old child suffering from a rare form of cancer causing him to go blind and he is losing his sense of smell. This past Wednesday, his saint of a mother, Rosie, was told he only has about 2 months left to live. He is the STRONGEST little boy I have ever met. He is nothing but positive 100% of the time. He is constantly uplifting his mom telling her everything is going to be okay. He told her before they found out about the estimated 2 months left of life, that he was going to go to heaven soon, and that he was going to meet God. He said he is going to become one of his angels soon, but that it’s okay. Now personally, I don’t affiliate myself with any religion, but I don’t deny any of them, and that just makes my heart want to burst. He’s only 4, and he has accepted death and he has prepared himself for the afterlife. He deserves the world, and he can’t even have his life. Please share. Please make this known. He deserves it.
ellendegeneres need you guys to come through for him .
OMG

A 4 year university had always been my plan. Being diagnosed 2 days before my senior year started put a drastic halt to those plans. While I’m still waiting to hear back from my other top schools receiving my acceptance from SUNY Plattsburgh is just that push I needed to remind me how lucky I am to be able to continue with my life. And pursue everything I’ve wanted. Never take anything for granted. It’s an over-used phrase but it’s so true. There was a time when I never thought this possible. The only other time I’ve been this proud of myself was the day the doctor called me and told me I was Cancer free. 😌
Been battling end stage kidney cancer for two years now. Still battling it and it is not easy at all but I try to keep the faith. #blackout For my beautiful cancer fighters and survivors out there.
God Bless. #Blackout.
My mom is now cancer free, I might just cry, I’m so happy right now.
This. This is why Harry Potter will always be one of the best things to happen. I am in tears.
2 years since my diagnosis. What a crazy 2 years it’s been. I would never wish to go back. And I’m not too sure I’m really “thankful this happened to me” but I know I’m the person I am now because of it. And THAT is something I would never change #cancerfree #lymphoma 💚
