It started with little spots in your vision, then the spots grew. You had noticed patches of black and temporary blurry ness that wouldnât go away. Like whenever you and Bill watched a movie, your vision would go out and you would close your eyes-praying that it would come back this time. You had kept it a secret from Bill, he didnât need to know these things. He would worry too much and from there it would be a slippery slope. You didnât tell him until you had to. You were walking down the stairs one day to put laundry away when your vision went out and you tumbled down the stairs and landed in a heap at the bottom.
The pain was crazy and the only thing you could do was call Bill. But since you couldnât see you had to use a voice command, which almost never worked. A few minutes after you had said anything to Bill, he and almost everyone from the IT cast was swarming through the door looking for you. He was only watching the filming today and didnât have the makeup on, but he thought you did. The bump on your forehead was huge and growing, and you had busted your lips and nose. âOh baby,â he said cradling your face in his hands. His eyes were watering and you couldnât see, âBill?â You said reaching out for his face. âYeah Y/N. Iâm right here,â he said guiding your hands to his face. You sighed in relief when you found his lips and cheeks, but you still couldnât see. Then you felt two small arms wrap around your waist, âWho is that?â You said. âItâs me, itâs just Jack.â You heard a small voice say. You relaxed again and then you heard everyone else, âWho all is here?â âWell. Me, Jack, Finn, Sophia, Chosen, Andy, Wyatt, Jaeden, and Jeremy,â he said. âWhy is everyone here?â Bill started to lift you up. âBecause we care,â Andy said from the back while all of the kids were quiet and scared.
You went to the hospital and they asked you about symptoms. You told them everything including numbness and headaches. They ran tests and filming had officially been shut down for the day. Then they released you back home with strict supervision because you still couldnât see. Bill didnât let go of you all night and it was starting to kind of annoy you. You werenât mad at him, you just didnât like the pity. Jack and Finn had asked if they could stay with you guys and that was usually the norm. The black Escalade you and Bill drove usually had at least two kids in the back. They stayed and helped out a little.
The next day your tests came back and you had a benign tumor behind your eye and in the left side of your neck. Bill was glad that it wasnât cancer and held you while he cried. You couldnât cry, you were frozen. You couldnât do anything, dear swallowed you whole. Until it hit you, like a ton of bricks. You couldnât breathe and you started heaving, âY/N baby, Iâm right here.â He said cradling you closer while trying to calm you down. âHe said we can remove the one in your neck, but the one in your eye is a little more difficult.â He tried to reassure you but it was just too much. âIâm gonna get sick,â you said and Finn heard you. He put down the game controller and ran to get a trash can just in time for you to puke up everything you had eaten. Bill rested his face between your shoulders and held your hair back.
When you were done puking you started to cry. Then Jack was tearing up, but it was mostly just a lot of emotions at once. Finn punched him in the arm, âPussy,â he mumbled.
