Quick update.

I’ve gotten what I need to schedule my surgery. It’s set to happen after New Year’s!

I’ll be contacting those who have donated in regards to the prints, where to send green, etc.

I’ll be back around a little more, making gifs and such. I’ve gotta limit my screen time but thankfully I can still be on and play with Photoshop and such.

Incredibly grateful to you guys gals and enbys for your help and support. It means the world to me.

Donation Drive

Backstory: As some might know, and a long story short, I’m in need of an eye surgery to save my eyesight. With insurance, government help, and help from family, there’s still a bit needed. I had not planned to do this, but I’m opening a donation drive for help with the last. 

However, I can’t just ask for money from you guys so I’ve decided to offer art prints! 

Here’s how it’ll work: There will be three art prints. One will be of Tyler Blackburn, one will be of Michael Vlamis, and the last will be of Michael/Alex or Malex.

The first five to donate $15 or more will receive all three prints. 

The first five to donate $10 will receive 2 prints of their choice. 

The first five to donate $5 will receive 1 print of their choice. 

All other donations will be added to a random lottery where 15 more prints will be won, 5 of each print. 

These will be posted to you during Christmas, as a Christmas card! 

I’m unsure whether I’ll reveal the whole of all three prints (maybe a few peeks?) but the prints will be in the style of an art piece I’ve previously shared, here is the link.

Any money that goes over what is needed for my surgery is going to be donated to The Trevor Project.

PSA: dont use l33t speak in AO3 tags

if you do this, congrats, you’ve totally defeated the purpose of the tagging system!

AO3 is not tiktok. it is not run by a mega-corporation that sanitizes content for advertisability and shadowbans or deletes content. it’s an ARCHIVE. 

by doing this, it means people won’t be able to exclude or include your tags. and if they use a text-to-speech reader, you’ve made it ten times harder to understand. 

this goes for tumblr too!! if you put “su!c!de tw” anybody who has “suicide tw” blacklisted will still see your post. it’s not a warning if the words aren’t able to be read or recognized by the systems.

no hate if you’ve been doing this! just fix your tags and don’t do it in the future.

Would you guys think less of me if I started a PayPal donation drive to come up with the last bit of money I need for my eye surgery?

I’m so close, sold some things, in laws have helped and everything. Just need $189 more and I’ve squeezed all I can out of myself and public health help.

If I do post about donations is there a tag for those to block to avoid it?

Since my eyesight has gotten bad, I’m on ‘temporary’ leave from work so the computers and machinery don’t cause any further damage. Which isn’t good because after applying for everything I can for assistance, I still need to pay a portion of the procedure out of pocket, which just isn’t going to happen.

It’s scary and puts me in a constant state of anxiety, like a ticking clock is counting down to when my eyesight will be gone completely and I can hear the tick tick tick all the time.

I don’t bring it up with my husband often because the worry of being a burden is greater than my need to be comforted and reassured. So I keep it in.

I thought maybe posting it here might help get it out and have some relief so I have a request. Send me Malex fic recs? Soft domestic, hurt/comfort, get together fics? Please.

I love Maria’s reaction here. Like, of course he wasn’t going to a hospital. He built an alien-killing bomb to save Alex, of course a life-threatening stab wound wasn’t going to stop him when he was in danger.

i’m salty. alex haters saying he was useless in last night’s episodes?? 

things alex contributed to the finale: 

he build a second lockheart machine in nine hours, which used together was able to switch max back into his own body. you know, one of the two major issues they were having. 

with max’s help, he was able to capture and record max and jones’ frequency from the lockheart machine.

he saved kyle by tasering jones (while looking gorgeous doing it). 

he provided michael’s dna from the handana needed to perfect the serum so max wouldn’t lose his powers (who knew being a sentimental fool could help so much?)

he gave both max and michael a pep talk.

he was looking good in that sweater, lord have mercy.

i know the writers need to do more showing and less telling but he wasn’t useless, far from it.
