She took the cup from him, confusion very clearly still on her face, “Killian I don’t understand what you are saying.”
“It just means that the general has heard good things about him. That can fair well for certain people.” He explained, taking a sip of the bubbly drink.
She raised one eyebrow, “Really? And what did you do for him that he would provide banned things for you?” She shifted in her seat, still trying to get used to certain positions without having the support of the other leg.
“I may have given him a good recommendation to the general of the first regiment. Nothing too big.” He shrugged it off, pulling two champagne glasses up onto his lap, only to pour the contents of the bottle in to the two containers.
“It’s a website, you can pin things on there you like….it’s a girl thing.” Her eyes widened at the bottle, “And how did you manage to put this all together and manage to get booze? You know that’s not allowed right?”
“Sounds weird, maybe it’s good that it’s a girl thing.” He spoke in return, twisting his fingers around the cap of the bottle before pulling his open with little effort. “All you need to know, is Dr. Grove owes me one. He’s currently paying me back.”
Her head finally turned back to him, taking a second to memorize how handsome he looked, “So this is our first date.” She laughed, “Not too shabby. This is straight out of Pinterest or something.”
He raised an eyebrow, confused by her words. “I don’t know what Pinterest is, but I do know this champagne isn’t going to do us any good if we don’t open it.” He explained softly, pulling out a new bottle from behind his back.
“Of course I do.” She grinned, adjusting her dress so it was covering her lap accordingly. “Well the day was nice so I’m glad the night ended up being just as nice.” Her head tilted back to look at the stars; the light pollution wasn’t as bad and they were welcomed with the sight of thousands of stars twinkling above them.
Just as she looked up to lay her eyes upon the twinkling dozens above them, he merely continued to stare at her, his expression warming the more his blue hues studied her seemingly perfect complexion. “It’s a lot better than just nice.” His voice rolled hushed as a small smile tugged at each corner of his lips, to even his face in to a blissful expression.
“Hey there handsome.” She called out once she was close enough to the man in the suit. “Don’t you look dashing.” She flashed him a bright smile. She thought she might have gone over board with her intracate hair style and detailed make up, but she was glad that he had also gotten done up for the night. She got herself to the blanket on the floor and carefully lowered herself.
He looked up as she spoke, revealing an equally radiant smile. “You think so?” He questioned, straightening the tie that wrapped around his neck. “And I have to say, you look far too gorgeous to be trapped here.” He announced before his face turned to a slight pinkish hue. “I’m surprised the night is this wonderful, actually. What, with the stars and everything.”
Serena got one last lance in the mirror, her head cocking to the side as she forced her eyes to push back the metal imperfections that were her crutches. She had never been on a real real date so the fact that Killian had suggested this had made her feel like a girl in high school all over again. As she walked down to the doors leading outside, her dress swished by her thigh and the crutches made a clinking noise. She could see Killian waiting for her in the distance and her lips curled gently as she approached the man.
Blue hues wandered up before they caught glimpse of the approaching girl. Suddenly, he began to shake. Fingers snaked up to brush through his hair, ensuring it hadn’t fallen out of place. He then tugged at his jacket, his eyes held low as he waited, though the wind almost calmed him. Almost. As soon as he heard the metal in the distance, he began to drum his fingers against his own metal leg, his whitened teeth wrapped around his bottom lip.
With a well tailored suit and a bouquet of fresh red roses, Killian made his way to the candle lit area among the clearing of the Garden, the area itself surrounded by trees and flowers as the night shadowed the sky, only lit by the stars and the moon. Even with the light breeze, there was a dry warmth in the air, and the swaying of leaves added the the hushed ambiance projected so seamlessly to make the night seem but more perfect. Eventually, he reached the clearing and proceeded to take a seat upon the blanketed floor, his fingers twiddling as he waited for his date to arrive.
“Well today has been pretty shitty.”
“Did I... do something wrong?”
Her hands held his face as she kissed him, a smile still on her lips. “I’m really excited now. I want to start getting ready right now!” She laughed and pulled on her bra and panties, swinging herself over Killian to grab her crutches. “I’m going to go get ready in my room, I’ll see you later!”
Killian merely watched her, raising an eyebrow in sudden surprise at her words. “I suppose you’ll just have to meet me in the garden at...” He looked at the clock for a moment before turning to look at her once more. “Seven thirty pm.”
A warm smile appeared on her face as she heard what he said, “Like a real date?” Her cheeks hurt from smiling, “That sounds….amazing. I know exactly what I’m going to wear.” She spoke excitedly. Serena reached out and held his face as he kissed him passionately once more.
“Like a real, actual date, yes." He confirmed with a steady nod of the head. “Great. I suppose I’ll make an effort and wear something nice then.” He sighed dramatically before his lips were taken once more, though he made no attempt to snatch them back.
“What do you mean we are going out on a date?” She popped her head up, pressing a kiss onto his forehead.
“Well, since it’s an especially nice day today, I figured we should do something together. Something... romantic, together. We can get dressed up a little, and I’ve got something planned in the garden when the sun starts going down.” He explained softly, flashing her a large smile.
“I love how I can change your mind to favor what I want.” she chuckled, pressing her naked body close to his as they kissed deeply. A gentle sigh left her nose as she moved her lips against his.
“Some would call this a controlling relationship if that were the case.” He mumbled gently, a single hand running slowly over the length of her bare back, until finally it reached her backside. “Oh, by the way, we’re going out on a date later.”

Her eyes looked up at him with pure adoration, she had never felt happier in her life despite the circumstances that the two were in. “No, no. That’s my rule. If I can never see you naked again, then you won’t hear those three words from me every again either.” She muttered against his lips before returning the kiss passionately.
“I’m sure we can just sack the rules from now on.” He flashed the younger a quick wink before their lips joined once more, and he deepened it enthusiastically. His hand raised as long fingers became entwined within her long hair, his eyes fluttering closed in utter relief.
