Anon I hope you read this and you understand how much of a disappointment this whole debacle is. You are a tool, plain and simple. And you need to actually pay attention to what people are saying to you.
In DIY terms, this is a fully fixed beautiful bench and here you are trying to take out a screw cause you felt it unnecessary for your own bench, even if that screw will make someone else’s bench fall apart. Maybe you think that screw is stopping the bench from standing, but who are you to dictate how someone builds their furniture? Does it affect you? Does it make you mad to see someone have a lovely bench that is different from yours?
People’s lives are different. If simping for fictional characters made you feel like shit then maybe that’s on you, huh? Ever think of that? Ever think, huh maybe I didn’t derive joy from this because it’s not for me, it’s not something I like, it’s just not what I want.
You ever think for five seconds that hey, maybe someone will derive joy from this, I should leave them to their own devices. I should let them feel happiness because I think people deserve to be happy. I am happy cause someone else is happy.
Or are you just bitter? Are you bitter it didn’t work out for you? Are you bitter seeing someone have so much love and enjoyment out of something that ruined you?
This is extremely, deeply annoying to see and witness somebody tear down somebody else because their lives went in different directions when having the same things. It didn’t work for you, that’s fine! But keep out of others lives if it works for them. BECAUSE ITS NOT YOUR LIFE! PERIOD! FULL STOP!
And the funny part is, I don’t know this person! This individual that is valid in shipping with the funny man from Eddsworld, I have no idea who they are. But what we have in common is that we enjoy seeing ourselves with someone that loves us, and we enjoy believing we’re capable of being loved like that.
Just like my favourite video game franchise Pokemon, selfshipping is all about love. It’s important and it’s special and it’s what makes people believe they deserve it.
And I think unwarranted comments like this make me mad. Deeply and truly mad. Cause I’m reminded of when a friend tried to do the same to me, and I followed their advice.
And I was seriously depressed afterwards, I forced myself to sever a tie that helped me appreciate myself more because I followed someone else’s advice instead of deciding what makes me happy.
So please; for all that is good.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
