how do i explain to you what the mental picture of 14yo!ima and 13yo!hana being insufferable tweens together and towards each other does to me

they're not kind, nor nice, nor considerate to the other—or rather, hanamiya isn't. but imayoshi kind of deserves it for dedicating most of his spare time to finding new ways to get under his skin

hanamiya who can't stand him yet respects him all the same, not in spite of it but maybe because of it

imayoshi who has the worst things to say about hanamiya like he does with no one else, and that's exactly what he likes about him: because unlike the rest of the rotten, he doesn't have to waste time suspecting, he already knows

they're going to their classmate's maid cafés during their school's cultural festival
