Addy smiled slightly and slid her thumbs into her belt loops. She wouldn’t call him. Not in a million years. It had absolutely nothing to do with Mason; Addy just wasn’t the type of person that called people. When she got sad she swallowed it down where no one, including herself could see it. It wasn’t healthy, and she wasn’t bragging by any means, but it worked for her. Or at least, it was comfortable. Addy also wasn’t the type of person who strayed from her emotional comfort zone. It was depressing really, that a guy like Mason was wasting his time on a girl like her. The corner of her mouth tugged into a soft, almost sad smile, “Well, I’ve got your number. 911, right?”
“Dangerous words,” she said as she tucked her hair behind her ears. Addy smiled slightly and folded her arms across her chest, leaning onto her right foot as she nudged him with her shoulder. The cold was starting to prickle her skin, and pizza was starting to sound really good. Or maybe just anything that was just inside and out of the rain. “If there is a god, you’re not exactly securing you place behind St. Peter’s Gates.” Addy pulled the ponytail off of her wrist and tied her hair into a knot on top of her head. It was nice to get the wet hair off of her neck, but now she was somehow more aware of the cold. “I mean, you’re playing League, optimism is impossible; it’s just depressing as shit that you’re playing League.” Nodding her head, she started walking towards the crosswalk, “Yeah, there’s one by the high school. Hope you’re still cool with the walking thing.”
It’s as she said 911 in which his lips parted, realizing that he had in fact not given her his number yet. “I’m an idiot I’m sorry.” He breathed, laughing softly as he shook his head and quickly he found himself reaching into his pocket for his mobile. “All right just.. Type your number in or something. I’ll text you so you get mine.” He said, handing her his phone after he unlocked it. “Wether you’ve got an emergency or just want to hang out, I can tell you it’s easier to reach me through my number. I’ll be a lot faster.” He finally said. If she were to call Mason knew he’d instantly pick up, no matter what the reasons were. If he were honest with himself he knew that he’d be happy not only by helping her but by knowing that she wanted to hang out with him too. If she’d be able to read his thoughts, she’d instantly be able to tell that in his opinion, he really wasn’t waiting his time and deep down he hoped that she didn’t feel as if she was waisting hers.
“Dangerous?” He asked chuckling softly, his arm brushing against hers briefly as he nudged her back gently. It’s as she went on about God and heaven in which he shrugged, his gaze falling to the pavement briefly. He’d never been the guy to believe in any kind of mystical force. If there was a god out there, he knew he wouldn’t have let all the things which had occurred until now happen. “Well.. I’ve never thought I belonged past those gates anyway, I honestly don’t really care though. Besides.. I’m sure that hell is just as fun.” He told her, thumbs hooked into his pockets, a goofy grin adorning his features. Again he might’ve been too open with her, but at this point he wasn’t even realizing it. She knew the worst part, something which he probably would’ve never told her about, and even though he did it knowing that he’d be forced to, he didn’t exactly regret it. In fact he was glad he’d told her. He felt.. Relieved. “Yeah.. But I still have to get you to install that game and play a match with me sometimes. I won’t quit until that happens.” He said, brown orbs catching hers. He felt as if he’d be a good gaming partner, and even though he wasn’t even sure if she’d tried the moba game or not, the idea of possibly playing with her in the future sounded quite fun. At her words the male shook his head once again, legs moving as he walked next to her. “I am.” He told her, nodding slowly. "I mean, as much as I'm not a fan of the rain getting some pizza will be so worth it." He finally said, yet it wasn't the entire truth. Mason knew that wether it was raining or not and no matter what they would be getting he’d most likely end up going anyway. It was mainly because he'd be spending with her something he did enjoy, even if he didn’t say it out loud.
