All of the Janto feels tonight.
I came back for you.
Hello Molly | Molly & Jack
Jack only kept smiling. āHey, itās no problem. I understand the need to yell at inanimate objects from time to time. At least they donāt talk back, huh?āĀ
Once she was down safely with both feet on the ground, he let her go and held out his hand. āCaptain Jack Harkness. Itās a pleasure to meet you, miss..?ā
Molly smiled awkwardly. She didnāt fancy telling him that her frustration was directed at Tom, not her pair of red heels. āMolly Hooper,ā she introduced, shaking his hand. āYouāre⦠a tourist?ā
He chuckled. āI guess you could say that. But Iām currently residing in Cardiff actually, Iāve got a job in London for the week.ā Jack gave her a little look over. She was really cute. āSo where are you headed, Miss Molly Hooper?ā
Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
Jack watched her going for his coat when she finally decided to stop being stubborn. āWhat are you doing?ā He watched her put it on and take it out with her. āWe have blankets you know!āĀ
He was extremely annoyed. That jacket was his from the actual war. It wasnāt like some kind of knock off replica. It had seen battle. Going to his closet in the corner of his office, he brought out a big fluffy blanket and walked it down to the couch.
"Here.. This will cover you better anyway." He took his coat and covered her up with the blanket. Jack draped his coat over his arm and turned to go back to his office. "Sleep well." He said half heartedly, walking away.
Eliza tossed and turned as he replaced the coat for the blanket, murmuring incomprehensibly in dissatisfaction.
ā..No⦠No!āĀ
She protested, shouting after him as he tried to walk away, reaching out aimlessly with one arm.
"I want the coat. I want the coat, I want the coat-"
She groaned, rubbing her eyes and rolling onto her back, bringing her knees up to her chest.
"It smells like you - I want the coat."
Jack didn't turn back to her as she protested, knowing she was close to passing out anyway. As he went up the short flight of stairs to his office, he just spoke to thin air, but directed it at her. "You lost the right to this coat a long time ago." It was true. She left him and if she missed his scent it was her problem, not his.
When he got into his office he picked up his phone and practically shouted into it. "Ianto? I need to see you in my office." He hung up quickly. Two old lovers had been in his space today and he needed the comfort of the current one. The one who wasn't insane.
Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
"No."
It was like it was an automatic fucking reaction. Before she could think or do anything, she automatically argued against him. But even she recognised that it was stupid.
She huffed, rolling her eyes and running a hand through her bedraggled hair.
ā..Fine.ā
She moved past him, walking around the back of his chair and unhooking the RAF great coat from it, draping it around her own shoulders. Well, she could do with something.
She glanced up to meet his gaze, before quickly averting her eyes again and walking back down the stairs and out of his office. She brushed the sofa cushions first, knowing just who had sat there and what they might have been carrying, before curling up as commanded and draping the coat over herself like a blanket.
This may well have been a kick to her overblown pride, but it was better than crashing. Probably.
Jack watched her going for his coat when she finally decided to stop being stubborn. "What are you doing?" He watched her put it on and take it out with her. "We have blankets you know!"Ā

Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
Being closer to her when she laughed, Jack smelled his whiskey on her breath as well as vodka. Smells that used to be so attractive were now only bitter reminders.Ā
"Youāre drunk.." He sighed then came up behind to catch her arm and steady her as she went on. "No, no driving.. Listen, just.." Another sigh. "Stay here. Rest on the couch until you sober up. If you want, Torchwood can front you money for a hotel room tonight and you can come back in the morning. How about that?"Ā
Jack hadnāt realized just how drunk she was, but now her desk and stripping antics made much more sense. Although, now he felt worse for losing his temper.Ā
Eliza stared down at his hand on her arm, before looking up to meet his gaze and looking fully offended, as any drunkard did when a sober person tried to tell them that they were drunk.
"Do I look like I need your money?"Ā She questioned, shoving herself into his thick torso like a battering ram to try and get him to keep his fucking distance.Ā "YouĀ knowĀ my bloodline and yet you suppose thatĀ IĀ need charity from the likes of you?ā
She hissed under her breath, wiping the hair out of her eyes with the back of his sleeve.
"I wasĀ this closeĀ to having children with you - how utterly repugnant.ā
She looked around herself, trying to work out where her shoes had got to. Thing was, there had to be a reason why sheād chosen to get drunk. John certainly hadnāt forced it on her; she was the one whoād given up professionalism, taken down her hair and grabbed the bottle.Ā
The idea of having to face Jack when sheād been so totally and incredibly in love with him was terrifying. Sheād welcomed the opportunity to converse with a stranger - to ābondā with a stranger - because it was welcome procrastination from the main business of the day.
In years to come, after a few more regenerations and what felt like a lifetime had passed, sheād criticise herself for this decision. Right now, like I said, the horror was far too fresh and she was still that touch too naive. She was yet to kill someone herself.
Jack let go of her, putting his hands up and backing away with eyebrows raised in annoyance. "I wasn't implying that you're poor, Eliza. I was just offering the convenience."Ā
He sighed and just shrugged at her, having nothing to say toward that. She was the one that broke it off with him, so any problems she had were exactly that; Her problems.Ā
"Listen, whatever you do, just don't drive. You may hate me, but I'd rather not hear about how you drove off a bridge in a drunken stupor. So whether it's the couch, or a five star hotel, go get some rest."Ā
Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
Jack sat up, abandoning his search for his liquor that was obviously long gone by now without any wonder who took it. āAt least I know their names. At least they arenāt psychopaths that I just found lying around. At least they arenāt dangerous killers who fuck anything that looks at them once.āĀ
Sighing, he got up and ran a hand through his hair. āLook. Iām sorry, okay. It was uncalled for to call you that, but youāve got to see where Iām coming from here. I care about you and in some strange way I care about him too. Seeing both of you like that in my hub no less when youāve only just met..ā He shook his head.Ā
"Iām just not feeling very personable right now." He moved around to her side of the desk. "Can we make the meeting for Wednesday? You can return my shirt when you come if you donāt mind." Jack was tired. After their mission and the eyeful that followed, he needed to be alone for a while.
Eliza laughed to herself, looking down and shaking her head.
"Wednesdayās no good for me - Iāve just driven for several hours from London to sodding Cardiff."
She rubbed her eyes, feeling as exhausted as she had earlier, before hormones had taken the lead.
"Look, I just-"
She swayed to one side, tripping over her own foot and grabbing on to the door handle to keep herself from falling in the most unladylike of fashions.
"Iām okay."
Crikey, she felt light-headed. Could she just sleep now? She was pretty sure she wanted to sleep. She had anĀ overwhelming urgeĀ to sleep.
"How about I go drive around for a bit-"Ā By which she meant āhave a nap in my carā,Ā "-and come back to do this when youāre being less of a possessive git?"
Being closer to her when she laughed, Jack smelled his whiskey on her breath as well as vodka. Smells that used to be so attractive were now only bitter reminders.Ā
"You're drunk.." He sighed then came up behind to catch her arm and steady her as she went on. "No, no driving.. Listen, just.." Another sigh. "Stay here. Rest on the couch until you sober up. Hello Molly | Molly & Jack
Jack wasnāt usually in London. Actually, he hadnāt been there since the height of the London Blitz. However, today his work took him to the city that had changed so much. He was only strolling down the street, hands in the pockets off his long, military coat, when he heard a girl sounding rather fed up.
He rounded the street corner to see a pretty red head fighting with her shoe. She looked a bit wobbly having one heel and all, so he carefully came up behind and took her arm to steady her. āOh! Careful there, sweet heart!ā He smiled charmingly. āLooks like youāre having a little shoe trouble.ā
"Tom, I told youā" The angry retort cut short as her head snapped around to look at the stranger. Rather than dark red-brown curls, she found a tall, smiling American man who definitely wasnāt her now ex-boyfriend. Her embarrassment over her outburst showed fully on her cheeks.
"Thanks," she murmured, taking off the other shoe. "Sorryā ehm, for that. Iā I wasnāt talking to my shoe. Uh. Thank you."
Jack only kept smiling. "Hey, it's no problem. I understand the need to yell at inanimate objects from time to time. At least they don't talk back, huh?"Ā
Once she was down safely with both feet on the ground, he let her go and held out his hand. "Captain Jack Harkness. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss..?"
Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
Elizaās heart actually leapt into her throat. It was understandable when more reserved folk judged her promiscuity but seeing as Jack was who he was, hearingĀ himĀ call her a slut was deep-cutting indeed.
Why was it that when men demonstrated a relentless interest, they were predators who liked what they saw, but when a woman did it, she was desperate?
"What?"Ā She asked softly, standing stock still because it was all she could do to stop herself from displaying any kind of weakness,Ā "You thought after you, Iād just stayĀ celibate? It wouldnāt surprise me if youāve fucked half the team to satisfy your need for a rebound."
Jack sat up, abandoning his search for his liquor that was obviously long gone by now without any wonder who took it. "At least I know their names. At least they aren't psychopaths that I just found lying around. At least they aren't dangerous killers who fuck anything that looks at them once."Ā

For Once | Janto
Needless to say, it had been a very rough week. While stacks of admin were piling up on his desk, Ianto found himself out on missions more than he was stuck in the office. It was exciting, getting to do more than just file paperwork, but at the end of it all, Ianto needed the break to get through the heaps that had consumed his workspace. The rest of the team had offered to help at least; he knew that Owenās offer was only partially sincere but honestly, he hadnāt been expecting anything from him anyway. It would get finished in some way and that was all that mattered.
In the meantime, however, it was time for a real break. Jack had accompanied Ianto to his flat ā unoccupied for 9 days now, he counted ā and they enjoyed food and conversation that didnāt relate to Torchwood or aliens for once. Iantoās eyes were barely staying open when they had shuffled off to bed; he had been tired enough to just discard his clothes on the floor instead of putting them in the laundry bin. Crawling in between the duvet and the cold sheets was so soothing, but Jackās warmth was even more so. He barely remembered sliding over to Jack and curling against him because as soon as he was comfortably tangled with the Captain, he fell asleep and wouldnāt have woken up for anything.
Thankfully, he didnāt have nightmares about aliens or monsters or the world ending. Whatever dreams Ianto did have that night, he wouldnāt remember; he was in such a deep sleep that it all seemed like he hadnāt dreamt at all. Warm lips pressed against his forehead and the Welshman stirred, moving to press his face into the crook of Jackās neck. It took him several minutes to wake up completely and remember where he was and what he was doing.Ā
With a sleepy smile on his lips, Ianto pressed a kiss to Jackās collarbone then shifted slightly to look at him through bleary eyes. āMorning,ā Ianto murmured softly, placing a hand on the side of Jackās neck and rubbing the pad of his thumb over Jackās smooth skin. When they were like this, all tangled limbs and whispers and warm bodies fitted together like puzzle pieces, Ianto couldnāt help feeling overwhelmingly happy. He hadnāt done anything to deserve a man like Jack Harkness and yet here he was, in Iantoās bed, sleeping next to him. It felt like they had been doing this forever.
Leaning forward, he brushed his lips over Jackās before kissing him gently then pulling away. Ianto blinked slowly several times, trying to get rid of the sleep blurring his vision. When he finally got a good look at Jack, his heart leaped; it never got old seeing Jack like this, his hard features softened by the soft blue light filtering in through the window. It was as if he was an entirely different person when he was here with Ianto, not worrying about chasing aliens or saving the world. Once again, Ianto pressed his lips against Jackās and his heart sped up. He lingered there for a long time before moving away so he could prop up on his elbow.Ā
"Did you sleep well?" Ianto asked through a yawn, moving the hand that was on Jackās neck to pet at his shoulder. He knew Jack didnāt sleepĀ muchĀ but he still asked every time they spent the night together.Ā
As Ianto shifted to press into his neck, Jack smiled. He lovingly watched the man in his arms slowly wake up, enjoying every minute sound and movement until he greeted him. "Morning." He hummed in approval as Ianto stroked his neck so tenderly. Shifting slightly, he pulled Ianto's body closer to his, not that they could get much closer. His fingers trailed gently up and down the other man's spine, enjoying the quiet moment.
When he kissed him, he pressed back gently, leaning in once more to peck the corner of his mouth again. Jack loved kissing, it was one of his favorite things and kissing Ianto was no exception. His lips always tasted sweet even in the morning. Maybe it was just all in Jack's head, but the man tasted like heaven. It was just so great to have him in this setting. No office or work bearing down around them, but laying calmly in a bed as dim light shown through the blinds.Ā
"Mhm.. Yes, I did. And when I was finished, I watched you." He chuckled, a deep sound that resonated through his chest that was only made deeper by the gravelly sound of sleep. "Did you? You looked so peaceful, I can't imagine you didn't." Jack leaned in and planted a kiss over his eyelid and on his forehead once more. "You're so beautiful when all that stress is gone." Not that he wasn't always beautiful, but the happiness of being stress free only made him that much more perfect in Jack's eyes.
He wished that Ianto would never be stressed. Sometimes he wished that they had normal jobs and didn't have to worry about life and death every day. However, at the same time, he'd have it no other way. The thrill of adventure and battle.. Well, there was really nothing like it. Either way, no matter what, he'd want to be with Ianto in that moment.
Hello Molly | Molly & Jack
"Ow!" Molly stumbled clumsily, one hand flying out to steady herself against the wall. She cursed under her breath at the freshly broken heel and was swiftly reminded why she so preferred flats. Could this night possibly get any worse?
Ignoring the concrete, Molly jerked off the offending heel. āIāve had it with you!ā she complained in a voice much louder than sheād intended. āHad it!ā

Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
After a rant like that, there wasnāt much of an argument for her to strike with. It wouldnāt have taken her a secondās thought to realise that there must have been something going on if theĀ whole teamĀ were absent, and people were normally asked to wait at the door.
She just wasnāt normally āpeopleā. She was Eliza, and normally Jack was there waiting for her, with big strong arms and perfect communicā
Her phone. Her phone had been going off. Oh shit, if that had been Jack ringing as well then heād called ahead and everything.
But she couldnāt back down from an argument, even if his stream of points were valid. They were recently separated, which meant everything was a competition.
"Oh, well would you look at that."Ā Eliza replied, about as coldly as she could muster, her lower volume a stark contrast to his ravings,Ā "Clearly psychotic bastards with a lust for violence are my type."
She couldnāt stop getting the flashbacks. Sheād never seen him like that. Jack prided himself on being a reformed man since he met The Doctor - not the conman or the time agent that he once was - but⦠that temper. The anger - the blood! He had genuinely looked (or perhaps this was just how she remembered it) like one of those crazed scientists from the horror films. Heād looked like a brute and a monster and whether this was the truth of it, Elizaās third incarnation didnāt have the stomach for that kind of thing. She was still a little optimistic about the universe.
Wait until regeneration number five; nowĀ thereĀ was a woman who was capable of cold-blood killing.
Jack gave her a disgusted look for even implying that he was a psychopath. He felt and he felt deeply. Just because he had been blinded by rage, did not make him a bad person. Plenty of people got mad. She was lucky that he wasnāt like that all the time. Someone that lived as long as him and managed to stay sane should have been commended, but he just couldnāt convince her. Her loss.
"Or maybe your just sleeping with the first person who pays you a second glance because youāre desperate." Jack was good at picking words that cut sharper than knives could. If it werenāt for her belligerence, he would have felt bad. He knew her well and he knew that she was hurt by what he did, but a man could only apologize so much before he gave up.
"Iād like to reschedule our meeting." He said shortly, opening his desk in search of his whiskey and finding it empty. "For some time when you arenāt being an unreasonable slut, maybe." He hadnāt meant for those words to slip out and he glanced up at her. "Sorry.." He closed his drawer. "Did the two of you all of drink my whiskey?" It could have been John by himself though. He knew how he was.
Hello, Tiger | Jack & Eliza
Eliza laughed incredulously, just about ready to kick his bloody high horse from under him.
"I was left here on my own because you were late for our meeting, so letās consider that for a moment before we start playing the professionalism card."Ā She replied as she buttoned the shirt up, untucking her slightly distressed hair from the collar.
"As for⦠whatshisface-"Ā She continued, taking a moment to run what he had just said back through her head.Ā
Hot damn, they hadnāt even told each other what their names were.
Wow.
"-John."
She took a triumphant pause, before turning to pick her skirt up and shimmying into the hot little number.
"I found him here in an unlocked cell. So thereās two examples in one afternoon of how fucking amateur your security is."
She rolled her eyes, pulling a face of superiority, as though sheād have the whole place filled with cement if she had her way.
She chose not to comment immediately on the other thing about his criticism that had struck her. āDo you know how dangerous he is?ā
Sheād considered jealous rage, but she hadnāt considered that part of his anger might have been fuelled by worry.Ā
"Oh, excuse me! I'm sorry that a gang of aliens decided to have a knock down drag out during our scheduled appointment. I'll tell them to wait next time so miss high and mighty doesn't have to go through the grueling process of fucking another Time Agent while she waits!" His words were full of venom, extremely fed up with her attitude.
"You didn't even know his name? Your lucky he seemed to like you! He wears poison on his lips. If he'd decided you would have been a fun target he would have kissed you and let you drop. He wouldn't even give you time to regenerate before he put you down so don't talk to me about professionalism!"
"And for your information he wasn't a prisoner and he doesn't need a key. He can materialize into the hub and he's done it before that's why everyone that enters is supposed to be escorted. You should have waited at the door, but instead you went sneaking around in my cells."
Jack sighed and rubbed his temples, taking a breather from his rant. "I would ask if you're alright, but since you seemed to be doing just fine there with him between your legs, I'm going to just not ask."
