I went to the art museum and Chillis
I didn't see the assignment until after my thanksgiving so did not get to take too many pictures. this was my family at dinner.
Envirommental Graphic Design
I like how the stick figures use the interior design of the wall as props
the bottom middle is my favorite. I like the way the black and white contrast and how it is made up of dimple shapes such as circles, ovals, rectangles, semi-circles, and triangle. I find it interesting how shapes form legible letters.
I really like using bright colors that contrast with black. the room that is green and white with the black couch is interesting to me because out how the green and white contrast yet blend and make the couch pop out.
Many different illustrations all grasp my attention. Some of these are paintings, graphics, photographs, drawings, ect. My favorite however is the black and white skull with the sharks swimming through and around it. As one can see, I love sharks and skulls. In this design the artist used grayscale yes a big contrast to move your eye around from object to object. I love the way it looks and how even the background is shaded and not left white.
Self Portrait
I ran out of color ink :(
I chose these logos because they all have an abstract factor to them. They either make the name obvious and the image is hidden that portrays the product or the image is apparent and it takes a minute to see the name. The couple i posted that were not abstract are made up of smaller shapes that portray the big image. I love the way you can look and fins smaller pictures. These are all small and simple logos that have so much thought put into them. Every time I look at each of these logos my eyes see a different message or design hidden and I think they are the best 10.

CD Cover Designs
I picked these covers because most of the have an abstract quality and some art that many people would not think of. Lines are used in several of these covers to point you inward towards the title or main picture. Also a lot of them have images hard to see such as the big face in the maroon 5 album and the words in the blink 182 cover. The covers all have opposite colors to cause contrasts such as orange and blue or black and white. Many of these are so busy but they don't overwhelm the eye. In several of these, the title of the album is represented by the design. At times it may take a while to see the message portrayed in the cover but I believe that makes it more interesting.
All of these covers are balanced images, have wonderful contrast and variety in every aspect. My eye moves around and my brain begins to think as I look at these covers and I enjoy these tremendously.
What inspired me to choose graphic design as my major
When i was asked what I wanted to do when I was older I never had a good answer. One day, someone asked me what I saw good at and enjoyed doing rather then what I wanted to be. I answered by saying computer graphics was my favorite class and hobby. I loved my graphics class in high school, I loved using my creativity to interest others and myself, and I always had fun with it. At that moment i realized, graphic design never crossed my mind because I did not realize something I enjoyed doing that much could be a major in college. I knew as soon as I answered that question that if I majored and got a job in something I am this passionate about I will never truly work a day in my life.
