      ‘That’ disgusting and barbaric.’

   ━━   She didn’t care about those kinds of matters, truth be told. But to just kill anything to silence your hunger, no matter what it was, was truly barbaric. Then again, she was speaking to a demon. 

      ‘Human? Are you assuming that I’m human?’

“Perhaps to you, but when you look from my point of view it makes sense.” He was only capable of eating raw meat and being a demon small animals simply weren’t going to cut it. So in his mind, the rational solution was to target something bigger and he wasn’t exactly going to be too picky about his choices either.

“I suppose I am, but i’m wrong aren’t I?”

      ‘I see.’

   ━━ He either enjoyed killing his own kind or did it out of spite. Either way, this meant that there was one less monster in the world. Praise the gods for that.

      ‘I’m not angry, idiot. I’m glad that a filthy beast has been stopped, but to be killed by one of its own kind is something I’ve never heard off. Why did you do it?’

“I almost forgot, humans are rather weird about that sort of thing aren’t they? Do you think I care if something is a demon, angel, human, animal or anything else? If I’m hungry, it’s there and I can kill it then there’s nothing left to think about. I killed them in order to further my own life, nothing more.”

      ‘It better be, demon.’

   ━━ That was spoken with a growl. She knew very well that demons could deceive people, she knew that all too well, &&. she knew not to trust them. Not after what had happened in her own timeline she was born into. Her teeth were clenched together, her eyes narrowed to become almost snake-like. Her hand twitched, her instincts were telling her to just get this over with.

‘Is this other demon still walking?’

“No they are not. Frankly I don’t think they’ll be doing much of anything ever again. Except of course, keeping me alive.” Which meant that demon had met their demise by his hand and Kera had left no remains. “Why do you seem so angry? I thought you wouldn’t be mad over the death of a demon.”

“Oh uh s-sorry I didn’t mean it.” Page stammered, quickly averting their eyes to the floor. “I was just spacing out, I’m sorry if I upset you or anything.” They added, grip tightening to the pole in the subway train as it came to a stop. 

As the train practically emptied at the stop, the hybrid became tense, their knuckles turning white from the grip on the pole. They hated being out this late, it always made them paranoid that something might happen to them. 

As the train came to the stop they stepped towards the door and waved at the other. “Have a nice night, be safe.” Then they were off to start the walk home.

“It’s fine, there’s no need to worry.” He offers a ‘kind’ smile. 

How sweet, telling him to be safe and to have a nice night. Words he did not often hear, but even so he wasn’t deterred. Not this night.

He steps off the train, making sure to keep his eyes on his target and yet still remain fairly inconspicuous. This was something he’d done countless times, something almost routine to him.

Weaving through the crowd of departing passengers, he follows after them.

"Look out for that car!" (From Jess// Also, Hello! ^_^)

Kera stopped mid-step, the car rushing past him and just barely missing him. He steps back onto the sidewalk and looks over at her, not seeming to be nearly as bothered by that as he should have been.

“You really saved me there.” Except not really, he likely wouldn’t have even been injured. Though she did save him from accidentally causing a scene, he’d rather not have a bunch of people crowd around and try to call an ambulance or any of that.

   ━━   The scent of blood sickened her. She couldn’t recognise what kind of blood it was, whether it was a monster or human, &&. that made it worse. Her nose crinkled a little.

      ‘That’s the past. The current situation at this point in time is the blood on you. Whose blood is it?’

“I think you will be pleased to know that it is not human blood. It is in fact blood from another demon, though some of it might also be mine. Either way it’s still from a demon.” It was one of the rare times where he managed to run into another demon that happened to be weaker than him. Which didn’t exactly happen all too often.

                          ❝ Oh, uh… I just said I liked your outfit… Was that weird?❞

              It was her turn to tilt her head, a nervous smile lifting her lips. She often spoke without thinking, and it usually got her into trouble, but a meager compliment seemed fine to say. Noriko wasn’t good at this.

“No... it was just rather...unexpected?” Little did she know, that compliment may have just gotten her out of trouble. “It’s very much appreciated though. I suppose yours is quite nice as well.”

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow down! You don't want to get even more hurt, do you?"

"Tell me where it hurts."

"Whoa, that's purple... It looks like your shoulder is dislocated."

"Oh my god. Are you okay?"

"You're bleeding... You're bleeding bad..."

"This is gonna hurt..."

"Holy crap! I may not know much about human anatomy, but legs don't bend that way!"

"It's all swollen up..."

"You have a black eye. Where you fighting with someone?"

"Okay... Okay, hospital. Hospital, now."

"I think you have a concussion."

"Calm down! Calm down! Your ankle is sprained, okay?"

"Here, lean on me."

"I'm gonna need more bandaids..."

"What the hell happened to you!?"

"Here, I need to clean you up. This might sting a bit..."

"We need to get the bullet out..."

"Oh my god, you've been shot!"

"Did... did you get beat up!?"

"Just hold on. You're gonna be fine..."

"Look out for that car!"

"Wake up! Oh god, please wake up!"

"You're alive! Oh, thank god!"

"I'm no doctor, but you should have that looked at. It's bleeding a lot..."

"What is that? Are there bandages under your shirt?"

"Why is your arm wrapped up like that? And are those blood stains!?"

"You must have hit the back of your head really hard."

"Look at me. Just look at me and stay awake. Can you do that?"

“Wh-what?” The demon appeared entirely dumbfounded, his head tilting slightly. Any prior ill intent had now disappeared, replaced entirely with confusion.

“Have you come to lecture me again? I thought i’d made it fairly obvious that I’m not one to listen to reason. Perhaps you’ve come for other reasons then?” The demon sat on a concrete ledge, legs crossed and a crimson liquid staining both his left hand and the collar of his shirt.

Now lay down, ❜ Hands dove right back to her kit, a syringe drawn out as did a bottle of mysterious liquid.❛ if ye want i’ll numb yer body if it’ll make it easier 4 ye. ❜ She was already sliding the needle through the cap since she was sure that he would take the easier way out.

“I don’t trust you, but fine.” He mumbles, shifting very carefully so that he was now laying on his stomach. As he thought, it hurt like hell, but for the moment he could deal with it. He’d had worse after all. “I don’t need it, but do what you want.” Which was Kera speak for ‘I kinda want it but have too much pride for me to admit it’.

❛ Oh, hush up. Don’t strain yourself anymore then you already did.❜ Amie reached into her satchel and took out a small first aide kit, the one you would find in a nurse’s office at school. ❛ Sorry if this hurt but i’m going to need to disinfect the open wounds. ❜ A spray bottle no bigger then an adult’s index finger was removed from the kit. Holding his face she whispered him to stay still before spraying the cut. Afterword she gently stuck on a rather large band aide on his face. Next she shifted his shirt a bit to get a good spray at his gash. Oh dear. ❛ I’m going to need ye to lay down on yer stomach. I hae to stitch it close. ❜

Who was she to tell him what to do? She was just a lowly bystander, the only reason he hadn’t snapped her neck yet was because he actually needed her for the moment. Kera gritted his teeth as she sprayed the disinfectant on the wound. It wasn’t that it really hurt, it didn’t hurt all too much, he was just not a very happy camper right now.

“Why the hell do I have to lay on my stomach if you’re going to stitch it?” He was not going to lay down on his practically gaping wound, that would hurt like hell. Frankly it sounded stupid.
