whats up with calyptra having a mouthful of blood everywhere she goes. I used to think it was just her makeup/unusual scale patterns looking like she gobbled someone's liver but she just actually kills people so def not her being a diva (even tough she is)

they don’t call Calyptra thalictri the Vampire Moth for nothing!

Calyptra does have natural red scales (I need to stop giving my characters red eyeliner…)

but it is hard to tell since 50% of the time I draw him he’s post blood-explosion

He does drink blood sometimes. His reasons for doing so vary but when he drank Huntsman’s blood it was partly because he was starving and a bit delirious, but also because he haattteeed him and wanted a bit of catharsis. I don’t think the series has touched on whether cannibalism is taboo or not in the wofverse but I feel like it probably is…. especially when committed by a SilkWing against a HiveWing
