Whatâs this obsession with angels? Iâm glad you asked! I donât know. The main point is: These folks? Theyâre neat-o.
âžââ â ( MY ARCHANGEL. aka my damn fave. / @ezpakon; (YELLS MY LOVE FOR YOU FROM A MOUNTAIN TOP) You are so good at writing (the way you use words is the stuff of dreams) and youâre such a good friend. Happily together with their daughter and bird, arguing under one roof about dumb bullshit like cereal and rose mist spray. Theyâll probably get married soon, isnât that wild. Watching our two muses grow together has been beautiful. They used to be miserable, volatile assholes. Now, theyâre relatively harmless morons that write diss tracks to each other. Can you believe we had a thread where they exchanged diss raps back and forth. What are we. Who are we. These two are parents that function in society (who let this happen, call the cops).Â

 her hands hurt.
they are redâ welted and bruised, skin flaking off and ruining the fragility of them. skin will regrow, and faint scars will be left along with the variety of the others on her body. red bubbles up to the surface, like paint on a pretty white canvas.Â
her back is curved against the wall of the building, an apartment she plopped in front of to gather her breath. her face is pallid, white from the energy it had taken her to utter a few incantationsâ and she can feel the thrum of the magic settling in. it had been something calm her nerves, and it had been workingâ slowly, but sure enough, the edge had been taken off.Â
she hates the relapses. had she knew that things like this would have been hard and painfulâ she would have never let the words touch her tongue or the blade to sink into flesh. blood contracts were always hard to disintegrate.Â
she tilts her head up at the sound of pattering feet, eyes taking in the form of a girl. her eyebrows raiseâ and seungah is sure she looks silly, seated outside the home of someone else, with injured hands and dirt smeared over her face.Â
âgood afternoon,â she murmurs, the soft lulling of her voice never wavering or going higher than a soft utter. âiâŚwas just resting.â
Heading back home after a long day at school, she most definitely wasnât expecting a scratched up stranger lying motionless outside of her apartment unit. At some point in time, sheâd thought that it had been someoneâs idea of a sick joke; but the female looked as if sheâd been through hell and back, and though sheâd classify school as something along the same lines, sheâd probably had it a lot worse that very day.
âWhat the fuck happened to you?â Really, one of the rudest ways that she could possibly introduce herself to a stranger-- but you have to understand. Dealing with situations like these isnât her forte; never was, and possibly, never will be. âYou do not look like youâre just.... resting...â As if to prove her point, she gestures towards the girlâs injured self with one hand extended before her nose crinkles out of habit.
âIâd offer you my place to wash up, but I donât want weird psychos knocking on my door two hours later, demanding for your head...â Yes, definitely one too many thriller movies. âYouâre not being chased by anyone, are you? Killed anyone?â Her questions were now forming just short of the Spanish Inquisitionâs, but she needed to be sure before offering someone sheâs never met before into her apartment.
Just why did she have to turn up at her doorstep conscious? Had it been any other way...
No, she wasnât going to knock an injured girl out and she closes the distance between the pair and the grimace that settles upon her lips was hard to erase. âJesus Christ, you sure youâre alright?â
as if he felt it when he scooted back a bit, eyes didnât see it and he didnât have enough time to reach for it in order to s a v e the vase before it shattered harshly into the ground. âoh, come on - itâs an ACCIDENT.â jared doesnât see the big deal, completely oblivious to most things which is why heâs calm. unlike the woman who appears to be angry, wanting to slap him at some point.
âwhat do you think this is, dinner? iâm not paying for anything.â the price isnât beyond out of what he can afford. heâs a man who saved up his earnings when he was a musician. when the salesman approached the pair, jared takes no time to communicate his way into this supposed âdiscountâ she wished for. âah, what a shame. i would have loved to buy it for my mother for her birthday.â
he rambles on, sighing in defeat. feigning some SADNESS, lies through his teeth but it doesnât seem forceful at all. âyou see, sir. we have had our financial issues, i wouldnât know how to pay for all of this. iâll wipe the floor, pick the pieces up - give you all i have left, if possible.â jared continues on, unsure of how the other is reacting to this pitiful role of him being poor. unable to pay ( when he can ) but willing to do anything else to break out of this situation.
âLetâs just agree that Iâll buy dinner and you can settle this. Accident or not, we have angry managers headed in our direction.â She knew just how this was going to turn out, heck, she could already picture it in her head-- and at the end of the day, either one of them was going to have to fork out enough money to cover the minimal cost of the broken vase--
.... Or not.
The sudden pity card that Jared pulled out of nowhere took some time for her to get into her role. She was definitely in no way a brilliant actor-- and that was why she made the impromptu decision of playing the ârebellious friend who was dragged out by said friend on a bad dayâ. A role made for her, really, especially with the scowl she had now etched upon her features. Glancing from her companion to the men before looking back at her friend once more, she couldnât quite help the exasperated roll of her eyes (albeit doing it discreetly whilst the managers were not looking, simply because she was not going to ruin Jaredâs Oscar-worthy act here).
They didnât seem quite convinced with his act yet, and that was when she gave in. âDo you have to end up working here too?â She asked, worry feigned in her voice as she looked at the taller male. âIâll help you out too, I mean, two pairs of hands working are better than one, right?â Fuck, she was never doing this again. Lips pursed, she shoots a nervous look at the employees as if pleading their innocence. This had better worked, or else.
She is most definitely one of the few different girls Brandon is used to seeing at clubs. For starters, she lets his drink sit idly on the counter instead of desperately taking it into her hands as so many other girls have done in the past. Itâs unusual for him to face rejection in such an environment, an environment that he thrives in and is definitely no stranger to; though he supposes the saying âthereâs a first time for everythingâ is quite true. Itâs only when she turns to him and the neon lights of the club shine on her face that he is able to get a better look at just who exactly he is dealing with tonight and in a way, Brandon shouldnât be surprised that the female so straightforwardly rejected his offer. Cara and him arenât very well acquainted but they have had enough encounters for him to recognize her strong features even in the dimly lit room. Perhaps she doesnât recognize him or the lights havenât hit him enough for her to do so but regardless, he lets out a soft chuckle that only he, himself could hear.Â
He takes his drink back in his hands and though he does so, it isnât a sign of defeat nor does it mean he gives up. Thereâs boredom in her voice and it doesnât take a genius to figure out that sheâs trying to avoid conversing with him, but he figures itâs only because she has yet to realize who he is. Brandon is a lot of things, and a gentleman is most definitely one of them. âIâm slightly offended you would think of me that way, Cara-ssi.â Thereâs definite emphasis on the femaleâs name in an attempt to entice her back into the conversation, but not so he can offer her another drink, so he can make his identity evident. âSurely youâre smart enough to realize that an offer of a drink from me is never meant to be taken as anything other than a friendly gesture.â Heâs raising a brow at her now and thereâs just the slightest hint of a smile on his lips, a crooked one, but itâs there. Picking up the glass in his hand he downs the drink in one swift movement before he signals the bartender for another. âThis next one is for me, and me only.âÂ
With a face like his, it was hard to forget. Especially not when it comes paired together with a reputation of extreme chivalry, amongst other things-- that made Brandon almost impossible to miss. But then again, there were more than a few that she could pinpoint out that were going on the lines of being the perfect âgentlemanâ; all in hopes of picking up a pretty girl or two from sweeping them off their feet, and sheâd somehow managed to group the male now seated beside her as one of them. And by them, yes, she meant guys whoâd ultimately had an ulterior motive at the end of the day. Whether or not that was the truth, she supposes that was for him to know, and her to find out-- eventually. âAnd just how do you think my impression of you is, really?â She couldnât help but have her curiousity piqued. Peopleâs first impressions were always interesting to discuss; be it completely opposite of the truth or a dead spot-on, and she wouldnât mind a conversation over that. The additional formality added on after her name earns a quick scoff from the female though, having grown much too used to friendliness from people whom sheâd label as âstrangersâ that it seemed foreign, having someone she knows (more or less) being polite out of the blue.Â
âIâm smart enough to turn down a drink from a guy-- whether itâs you or not, Brandon-ssi.â Returning the honorific back towards him (despite hiding it behind a snicker), she nods in acknowledgement just as the bartender slides her the next shot. âDonât worry, I donât plan on stealing drinks. I donât play dirty, unless someone asked for it.â If one looked close enough, they might notice the faint grin tugging upon painted lips before she finishes the contents of the shot glass in one go. Just as she places her emptied glass down, she makes it a point to order another; though two shots this time round. âSince Iâm just about to get bored out of my mind, Iâm going to turn the tables and offer you that shot. In return for something entertaining, at least. What do you say?â
I,â she says, âam always stuck. I am always stuck between giving people everything because I am dying to create meaningful relationships, and giving them nothing at all because then if they leave, at least Iâll be left whole.

âPicking up tips?â He asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion. âNoona, unfortunately, there arenât any tips that I can provide. There have been quite a few events where I have looked half asleep and thereâs nothing I could do to stop it. Maybe a little more makeup but, sometimes it is what it isâŚâ He trailed off with a laugh, wishing that there was some magic potion that couldâve made him look more awake at those events. âDrinking half a bottle of wine in one sitting isnât exactly the best way to relieve the stress and tension either. Just had to get one bit of patronizing in,â he said, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he looked at her in mock disappointment. He hoped she knew that he was kidding. Mostly. Giving her a good once over, he lifted his chin for half a second before bringing it down into a nod. âYour face does actually say that. The words you used to describe it dripping in sarcasm? Ruins that, so be careful,â he warned, playfully shaking a finger at her.Â
So they were one and the same-- there really was no trick in trying to appear as if one had ample rest... apart from make-up and coffee. Definitely coffee. âDamn, I thought I would learn something new. Guess weâre just meant to look like weâre half-asleep when we donât have enough sleep, huh?â She deadpanned, making a face at the thought of having to face the world whilst cranky about being exhausted. âHey, it is the best way to relieve stress for me. Usually, Iâd go to more drastic extents.â That being, a quick trip to her favorite club; but on the rare occasion that sheâd much rather bask herself in the calmness that is the night, sipping wine had been the best option. âMaybe Iâll rope you into trying it out with me one day... but I donât want to be held responsible for leading you astray.â Her tone joking, she quirked her eyebrows towards the male with a knowing snort. âMaybe I should just keep my mouth shut and just look pretty, no? But then again, whereâs the fun in that?â Just as she lets the question fell out of her lips, the sight of her apartment coming into view caught her attention and she pointed towards it with a huff. âMy place is just right there actually.â
why should i resolve things peacefully when i can fucking punch you in the face
âIâve pulled so many all nighters, noona, that itâs almost strange when I donât,â he admitted with a laugh, his hand raising to push his hair out of his face and rub his eye. He definitely functioned better with a full night of sleep compared to staying up all night to practice, even if it was four or five hours, but his friends were extremely important to him. It wouldâve made him feel guilty to go back to the dorm and sleep while a friend was still troubled. His smile widened at hearing that she was feeling better, whether it was the wine or not, it made him feel happier. âThatâs good to hear. Sometimes venting does wonders, right?â He hummed in agreement, albeit facetiously, and looked at her. âOh yes, youâd never get in trouble. Suuuure. I need to stick around to keep you out of trouble, noona. LIke the Good Angel over your shoulder or something. Also, donât worry about me; I make sure that I get all those bases covered. I donât want to get sick.âÂ
Another one reason why sheâd probably never understand the lives of celebrities.. or idols, as they call it. It most likely wasnât healthy to go without sleep in the long run, but then again, so was downing large amounts of alcohol and spending her time inhaling secondhand smoke so she guessed she was in no position to argue. âIâm going to have to pick up some tips about looking alive after not getting enough sleep then. I feel like Iâve been.. zombie-fied whenever I have to head to class after a long night out.â Putting on lots of make-up had been her trick to hide her dark circles and deathly complexion, but she supposed there must be some other way around that. âIt does, though itâs not like I do it often. I care too little to get this riled up most days. Today is.. an exception.â A rare one that she hopes never to repeat in the near future. âJust look at my face. Totally one of innocence and all things good, donât you think?â She snorted at her own question. âIâd love it if you could hover on my shoulder and tell me not to do silly things when I shouldnât though. Makes it a lot easier to make decisions.â

if you sleep upside down, does that mean, you dream upside down?
Thatâs a very peculiar question and I think we have to try it out to know. Though I think apart from getting a headache, youâre not going to learn anything interesting...
Being out late before he had to travel wasnât a concern of his at all, nor did it bother him one bit. A friend needed him and he wasnât going to completely disregard her call; that wouldnât have been in his personality at all. He chuckled at her and shook his head at her apology. âSeriously, noona, donât even worry about it. I just hope youâre feeling better after getting out for a while and having some wine, and if you are, then I feel accomplished. If youâre still feeling like you need to talk some more, I can talk all night.â He continued to look at her out of the corner of his eyes while they walked, nodding along with what she was saying. âDo I have to warn you to stay out of trouble like an annoying and nagging dongsaeng~?âÂ
âTalk all night? And youâll have to continue your day tomorrow without getting any sleep?â Sheâs been in that position before-- having to pull through yet another day with barely an hourâs worth of rest and it is through learning the hard way that she concluded that one should never, never do such a thing. If there was an option, of course. âI am feeling better though. Maybe itâs the wine, maybe itâs the park, maybe itâs because Iâve spoken to you-- but I feel less frustrated now.â Shoulders moving in a quick shrug, she heard his question before bursting into laughter. âOh no, I would never get in trouble because, you know, Iâm Cara.â The truth couldnât be further from that. âHey, I should be the one nagging at you instead. Eat well, sleep well, and all that!â
He raised his eyebrows with a nod, lifting up the bag that contained the bottle of wine. If she didnât take it, he really wouldnât have known what to do with it since he wasnât a drinker. Maybe one of the guys wouldâve taken it? Not like any of them actually drank much, so maybe not. It probably wouldâve just collected dust for a while until one of them had company over. His lips turned up into a smile as she started to drink more of the water too. The more of that she drank, the less he wouldâve had to worry. âThereâs absolutely no trouble at all, noona, I assure you.â He continued walking beside her, putting his free hand in his coat pocket to keep warm. âWeâre leaving for Japan again in the morning, we only stopped back here briefly and now weâre back on a plane tomorrow. Iâm excited. Touring has been a lot of fun. Extremely exhausting but so much fun.â Looking over at her, he asked, âwhat do you have planned?âÂ
âRight,â came her reply, and a part of her knew that it was pretty much mandatory these days for him to reassure her of such trouble since really, how straightforward would a guy be if he admitted that itâd been a hassle to walk a girl home? Attention turning back towards the male and his response, her lips formed a small âoâ at the mention of a trip overseas (and really, this mustâve been the worst idea of her whole week since she called him out in the middle of the night even when he had a full day tomorrow). âFuck, you shouldâve told me earlier-- I wouldâve brought you back earlier.â Now she just felt bad for taking up his time and being Cara, she hesitated and was caught on expressing just how apologetic sheâd felt. Expressions were never her forte. Never was, never will be; and she figured the least she could do was a mumbled âsorryâ. That, along with her hands clasped in front of herself, she continued leading the way back home. âMe? My classes end early tomorrow so I might head somewhere. I have no idea where yet, but... Iâll find a place. Itâs not like I have anything to do back home anyway.â
