Rooney Mara’s ultra-cool campaign video for Calvin Klein’s Downtown fragrance has arrived, featuring the actress’s signature blunt bangs and all-black wardrobe. David Fincher’s Calvin Klein commercial exists in a dreary, dreamless dimension beyond banality and cliché. Fincher who works his brilliance setting Mara as a young Hollywood star with a human element in the ad. He created the black-and-white television campaign, which tells the story of a young woman living in her own world, breaking away from the ‘expected.’ Set in New York City, the short film portrays the multi-faceted life of a globally recognizable actress who always remains true to herself.
