The small child stumbled a little as he tripped on the rug but he managed to keep on his feet before carefully moving forwards. He felt out in front of him and tried to make his way through the living room without tripping before he bumped into Jacobs. He felt at his pant leg and then looked up at him, his cloudy blue eyes unable to see. A cause of his displacement. He then reached up and made grabby hands to his new adopted father.
Moth wiggled to get comfy before he tried his best to follow along with the movie as it played and as Izzy helped to narrate. When she laughed he got confused before she explained and he giggled, still holding her hand the whole way through. He felt safe with her and it was comforting to be able to see her light in a world of complete darkness. When the movie finished he accepted the help to get off the couch and make his way to the table, walking slowly to try and not trip on anything. He needed some help getting into his chair, but when he was sat he listened to Izzy and nodded. He was struggling to eat as he couldn’t see and was a bit messy, but soon he carefully tried to eat, he dropped some food on his lap and he felt bad with food smeared on his cheeks. He was flushed red with embarrassment but he tried his best and hoped he wouldn’t get yelled or laughed at like he used too at the orphanage.
She did her best to try and keep him included in what was going on during the movie. She felt bad that he couldn't see how silly the movie was. But she thought she was doing her best to keep him involved. When the movie ended she helped him to the kitchen and to the table. After explaining things to him she hopped up into her own chair and kicked her feet waiting for the food to be brought out. As her ma loaded up their plates she explained what everything was so Moth wouldn't bite into something he wasn't ready to eat or wouldn't like. As they ate nobody said anything about the mess he was making. It was expected due to his inability to see and once they finished eating Cassie cleaned Moth up and was just asking how he liked the food and if he wanted some more juice. Izzy hopped down from her chair and bounced a bit wanting to drink juice and play more with Moth.
Moth really liked how Izzy was involving him as the movie played out, he had to rely on his imagination to what Izzy explained and it had him giggling sometimes before long it was time for food. As the food was explained to him he nodded and thanked her for the explanation, he was used to being given bad food at the orphanage, so the fact she had explained what he was eating helped ease his nerves. He was so lucky to be taken in by Jacobs and Shelly. As they ate he was met with silence to the mess he was making, he couldn’t help it he was still trying to adjust to being blind. He managed to eat a fair amount before he was full, when Cassie came to clean him up he looked so embarrassed and kept mumbling apologies. After a moment of hesitation he nodded, “ Yes please. ” He asked politely to the juice.
Cassie just made sure that Moth was cleaned up and Izzy watched on curiously. What would it be like to be totally blind? It sounded scary not to be able to see the world around her. But she promised to do her best to make sure that Moth wasn't alone in that scary world all by himself. When her ma gave them both juice she took Moths hand and led him back to the couch before sitting down in front of it. She had toys lined out and stuffed animals and she explained what everything was so he could pick out which one he wanted to play as. "I got monstah stuffed animals right ovah here. This one is a squid, this one is a dinosaur and this one is a space monstah. Then I got soldier toys over here if you wanna be a military man. Oh and then I got nonhuman toys over here if you wanna play somethin like me." She beamed and looked at him with a big smile.
When given the juice he held it carefully before Izzy took his hand and led him to the couch, with some help he got up and sat down before he looked in the direction of her voice as she spoke about what toys she had and what he could play as. He was silent for a moment in thought as he sipped the juice before he finally spoke up, “ Um… I can play the monsters or non humans I don’t mind. ” He replied, wondering how well he’d be able to play due to his lack of sight. “ What did you wanna play as? And how would we play? ” He asked her curiously.
She smiled when he said he wanted to play the nonhumans and monsters. Most humans really didn't like the nonhuman toys and thought they were a waste to even make. So he sat good in her eyes for wanting to be like her. "Sure that would be fun." She helped him by explaining what each toy was and where they were so he wouldn't feel left out. Excited to play with him she took the human toys and set them up before wiggling her ears a bit. "We can have them meeting up and having fun if you want. These humans know the nonhumans are good people and don't wanna hurt them none."

Moth was desperate for physical contact, he had been denied it at the orphanage and being blind he struggled to adjust to his surroundings. So he was constantly asking for hugs and to be close to someone, it was both because being suddenly blind was hard and he wasn’t treated as well due to being displaced. He finished the juice quickly, scared someone would take it away or smack it out his hand. When finished he let Jacobs put the container in the bin and just smiled before peeking up excitedly, “ Oh!! The pretty star girl? I wanna play with her… do you think she likes playing with me too? I’m not being annoying to her am I? ” He asked nervously.
He smiled when Moth called Izzy a pretty star girl. It was a good idea to introduce the two of them as they seemed to hit it off well. "Yes the pretty star girl. I'm sure she loves hanging out with you and playing together." Reassuring him he sent Cassie a message that he was coming over with Moth. "Come on little man lets go get in the jeep." Carrying him out to the jeep he loaded him in and buckled him up. Getting behind the wheel he drove over to Cassies house and parked before unloading Moth and carrying him around. "I think Izzy is waiting to hang out with you."
Moth looked happy that someone wanted to interact with him, to play with him, he was so used to the kids at the orphanage being mean to him since he couldn’t see. “ Okay. ” He said letting Jacobs help him get his shoes on before being carried to the jeep. Once inside he sat as patiently as he could letting himself be buckled in, he hummed to the music on the radio as they drove before they arrived. When taken out the Jeep he clung onto Jacobs, hearing Izzy was waiting for him he smiled brightly. He was blind with darkness, but for some reason he could see the light Izzy gave off, he could see a very vague silhouette of her made of light but apart from that the darkness that stole his vision was relentless.
He carried Moth inside where Cassie was cooking and Izzy was sitting on the couch. Walking over he dropped Moth off next to Izzy before going to go talk to Cassie for a bit. Izzy just smiled at Moth and reached for his hand. When he seemed to recgonize her she beamed and glowed happily.
"I found one of those monster movies ya were talkin about. The one with the bad monstah costumes and silly practical effects. Wanna listen to it with me?"
When carried in the smell of good food hit him and his stomach growled, when set down on the couch beside Izzy he saw the bright light and smiled big as he immediately grasped her hand and leaned in close. Listening to her he blinked and then nodded, “ Yeah! I wanna watch it! I like the movies you show me. ” He said with a bright smile.
She beamed and turned the TV to the station where the movie was already playing. She narrated it for him so he wouldn't be left out. Trying not to go over the top she laughed when the zipper was visible on the costume. They watched the movie together and she didn't let go of his hand once. It was like she knew he needed the reassurance and comfort of never being alone. When the movie finished Cassie came to get them to eat so she helped Moth get to the table and explained where everything was so he could eat in peace.

He watched over Moth carefully as he moved through the living room. When he stumbled he put his coffee down ready to catch him if he fell. When he made it to his leg he smiled and picked him up. Holding him on his hip he just rocked his new son and just tried to keep him comfortable. "You doing okay little one?"
When he was picked up and set on his hip he clung onto his shirt, he let out a small shaky breath and felt comfortable as he was gently rocked. “ Yeah… ” He said quietly, but then shifted to wrap his arms around his neck and hugged him tight, “ Are you gonna send me back to the bad place? ” He asked worriedly, the last people who had tried to take him from the orphanage had been mean and got angry with how clingy he was and how much help a blind child actually needed.
He could feel how he was clinging and just kept rocking him gently. They had been warned that he was clingy and a problem child but he didn't see anything wrong with him. Sure he was a bit more hands on but he was also blind and saw the world through his hands. As he clung he rubbed his back a bit. "No you're not getting sent anywhere. We told you that we're your new parents and we meant it. No take backs." He tried to reassure him that everything would be okay. Walking him to the kitchen he grabbed a juice box from the fridge he handed it over to him. "We got strawberry juice for you like you asked for."
Moth was struggling to fully adjust, but he was trying and he had needed help and was so clingy because he was scared and didn’t know anything about this age of humanity. When Jacobs assured him there were no take backs, he pressed into him and hugged him as tight as he could. When he moved into the kitchen he just held on and then was presented something that made him perk up he took the juice box carefully, “ Thank you. ” He said politely before eagerly starting to drink it, he hadn’t been able to get these sorts of things at the orphanage, then again he wasn’t treated very well there.
Feeling the hug he hugged him back to reassure him that things were okay. He would go out of his way to ensure that his son knew that he was going to be loved and cared for no matter what. When he took the juice he helped him find the straw and watched him suck it down like he was starving. The orphanage had only been giving the children the bare minimum to provide for them. He wanted to spoil his new son and have him learn that he could ask for anything and get as much as they could afford. He had come from a bad place and deserved to have a happy home and life. Rocking him again he just waited for him to finish his juice before dumping the container into the recycling bin. "Do you want to go visit little Izzy and hang out for awhile and play?"

The small boy held the aphid close on his lap, he was wrapped up in Jacobs’ jacket as he was buckled into the passenger seat of the doctor’s jeep. He looked at Jacobs warily, worried this was another trick by an adult. But Anxiety seemed to be okay and wasn’t sounding an alarm so he just focused on the bug on his lap, gently petting it as he silently hoped he would be safe and wouldn’t have to run away again.
Jacobs had found the little boy trying to pick his pocket and knew that he needed help. So he loaded him up into his jeep after letting him get what he needed from his home. Taking him to Shelly's club he wanted him to get cleaned up and taken care of before anything. Driving to the club he carried him in and took him to Shelly explaining what had happened and that he only spoke English. Shelly did her best to comfort the child and helped him get to one of their private showers to clean himself and his aphid up.
The small boy just did what he had to do to survive, he was scared of the adults most of who had tried to hurt him. He had found Anxiety and it was his only friend and the only one he could trust, he had tried to pick the doctor’s pocket to be able to get some food, but it resulted in him getting caught. In the end Jacobs had him bundled up and they were driving to Shelly’s club.
When carried in he kept ahold of Anxiety who kept a lookout for danger. When passed to Shelly he soon found himself in the private showers, setting the aphid down he accepted the help to get out of Jacobs’ jacket and the ill fitting clothes. He was rather dirty and as he was cleaned up it became clear he was unusually pale, he had wood brown hair and deep blue eyes, he watched Anxiety squeak and run around happily in the spray of the shower. After a while he looked up at Shelly, “ Are you gonna try and sell me too? ” He asked quietly.
Shelly was careful with him and moved slow knowing that street kids were treated poorly and often times jumped and ran if spooked. Jacobs told her that the little man only spoke English. So she did her best to speak to him in a way he would understand. It was obvious he didn't have a translation chip yet and would need one soon. Washing his hair she found it was a rich brown like wood and it was an odd color for someone from the planet. He must be displaced or lost to be alone like this.
"No honey we aren't going to sell you. We want you to get back on your feet with a good meal and a warm bed waiting for you. You and your aphid. Hes so cute where did you find him?"
Moth was nervous, it was so clear as he twitched every time she touched him, but he needed a good clean and the warm water felt good. He ended up closing his eyes as Shelly lathered his long hair that needed a good trim. He was relieved he could actually communicate with people, no one spoke a language he could understand but he had sort of figured out the gist of some things.
When Shelly told him he wasn’t going to be sold he looked dubious, when the conversation turned to Anxiety he perked up, “ I found him in a trap, he was squeaking like mad and I got him out. He’s been with me since. ” He rambled opening his arms Anxiety ran into him and Moth just nuzzled at the aphid affectionately. “ He’s helped me stay safe, he’s really good at know whine when things get bad. I don’t like the bad things… the people are mean. ” He mumbled.
As she lathered up his hair she could tell that it needed a good cut. They had some clothes his size in the donation bin so she could get those too once he was done with his shower. Watching him with the aphid and listening to him speak she smiled softly. "Sounds like you were very brave to save Anxiety and keep yourself safe at the same time. Most people wouldn't last half as long as you have." Washing him down until the water ran clean she then turned it off and wrapped him up in a big soft towel.
"Let's grab you some clean clothes then we can get a good meal for both of you." Setting him in a private room to dry off she grabbed the clothes from the donation bin and brought them back to him. "These might be a size or two too big but you can grow into them. We can buy you some new clothes the next time we go out shopping okay?"

But Anxiety seemed to be okay and wasn’t sounding an alarm so he just focused on the bug on his lap, gently petting it as he silently hoped he would be safe and wouldn’t have to run away again.
Jacobs had found the little boy trying to pick his pocket and knew that he needed help. So he loaded him up into his jeep after letting him get what he needed from his home. Taking him to Shelly's club he wanted him to get cleaned up and taken care of before anything. Driving to the club he carried him in and took him to Shelly explaining what had happened and that he only spoke English. Shelly did her best to comfort the child and helped him get to one of their private showers to clean himself and his aphid up.
The small boy just did what he had to do to survive, he was scared of the adults most of who had tried to hurt him. He had found Anxiety and it was his only friend and the only one he could trust, he had tried to pick the doctor’s pocket to be able to get some food, but it resulted in him getting caught. In the end Jacobs had him bundled up and they were driving to Shelly’s club.
When carried in he kept ahold of Anxiety who kept a lookout for danger. When passed to Shelly he soon found himself in the private showers, setting the aphid down he accepted the help to get out of Jacobs’ jacket and the ill fitting clothes. He was rather dirty and as he was cleaned up it became clear he was unusually pale, he had wood brown hair and deep blue eyes, he watched Anxiety squeak and run around happily in the spray of the shower. After a while he looked up at Shelly, “ Are you gonna try and sell me too? ” He asked quietly.
Shelly was careful with him and moved slow knowing that street kids were treated poorly and often times jumped and ran if spooked. Jacobs told her that the little man only spoke English. So she did her best to speak to him in a way he would understand. It was obvious he didn't have a translation chip yet and would need one soon. Washing his hair she found it was a rich brown like wood and it was an odd color for someone from the planet. He must be displaced or lost to be alone like this.
"No honey we aren't going to sell you. We want you to get back on your feet with a good meal and a warm bed waiting for you. You and your aphid. Hes so cute where did you find him?"

Cassie looked over at the woman her daughter had brought over. Smiling big she adjusted her prosthetic robotic arm to make it fit better against her shoulder. "So you're my little Izzys new friend? Its nice to finally meet you. I'm Cassie."
“Hey. I’m Bloody Bee” she smiles her sharp tooth smile “it is so wonderful to finally meet you. Izzy has told me so much about you and I’m not gonna lie, I have randomly crashed on your couch a lot to avoid my duties” she chuckled
Cassie just smiled and snorted at that. "You can crash on the couch or the guest bed we don't force anyone to drop down anywhere they don't wanna be. And she's been talkin bout me behind my back again? Oh I hope its good and not her complaining about my hunk of the month calendar that I keep hanging up out in the kitchen." Smirking at Bee she figured she liked her well enough. Izzy always had a good taste in friends so she knew that they would get along well.

Moth sighed as he walked into the big fat fatties, he had a long day at college and as usual the hunter kids were complete assholes to him. But soon he couldn’t help but smile seeing his two boyfriends sat in the booth waiting for him. It was a quiet spot out the way and his favourite seat, without hesitation he slipped into the booth opposite them and sat by the window before giving the two psyops guys an amused look, “ So what are you two fighting over now? ” He asked teasingly.
Marcus perked up seeing Moth walking into the resturant. Shoving Harold aside he wanted to be the first and only one of the two of them to get the first kiss and hug from their shared boyfriend. "Well look who the cat finally drug in. And we're not fighting." He looked away embarrassed.
Harold shoved Marcus back as he was shoved so he could try and get to Moth first. Smiling big at him when he came over he just looked the model of innocence. "We're totally not fighting. C'mon Moth you know us better than that."
Moth gave the two a look, he had seen them shove each other and knew they were fighting all over again. As he sat down he shoved his rucksack to the side by the wall before he decided to look between the two. Now who did he want to kiss first? He thought about it for a moment as he admired his boyfriends. After a moment he stood up and leaned over the table, he grabbed Harold’s shirt and kissed him on the lips before he grabbed Marcus’s shirt and did the same to him. He then sat back down and sighed, “ You can’t lie to me, I saw you fighting. ” He pointed out, giving them both a stern look, “ Now. I had a shit day at college and I wanna forget it okay? So what are we going to order? Or have you already done it? ” He asked the men, just wanting to forget the episode of getting beaten by the hunter kids. Bruises hurt under his clothes and he swore a rib may have been bent which was impressive as he had metal infused bones.
Marcus and Harold were fighting under the table by absently kicking at each other as if to say that they were better than the other. Marcus puffed up and looked ready to kiss Moth only for him to kiss Herold first which made him pout. Wasn't he good enough for first kisses? Giving Moth a kicked puppy look he melted into the kiss when he was finally given it. Sitting down and behaving as much as could be seen he tried to keep from getting in trouble for pushing his coworker around.
Harold melted at the kiss and silently boasted as he got first kiss. That meant he was way better than Marcus and Moth knew it. When he sat down and talked about his shit day he frowned and tried to scoot over to him. "We ordered the usual for all of us. If you want something else we can do that too. Now tell me what happened? Who are we gonna rough up and maybe kill later?"
