PREMIERING WARRIOR BABES VOLUME 1!

Creator, Illustrator and Art Director John Malta has collaborated with Design Lab to produce a new animated short, Warrior Babes Volume. 1.

Using John Malta’s hand drawn illustrations and Jesse Mcmanus’s exceptional animation skills, we embark on a journey deep into the jungle to Mount Moog.

In this psychedelic landscape you’ll find Enchantra, the Warrior princess, who finds power within her spirit animal, a 6 eyed tiger, to battle face to face with the one and only God eater. 

This work is based on the graphic novel Junkyard, which is currently in development as an animated series. Junkyard follows the adventures of Haunt, the main character and his entourage, which includes the talking spider Mortimer.

Thanks Design Lab for letting me do a whole short piece, John’s imagery is awesome fun to work with and Josh/Sol’s direction made this into a cohesive thing, along with Paul De Silva compositing. Animated in Photoshop.
