Ideas for Xiaolin Chronicles:
I’ve been on a bit of a Xiaolin Showdown bit for a few days and also looked back onto Xiaolin Chronicles. Now no offense to Christy Hui, she had to deal with a whole lotta barriers in regards to copyright and what not so I’m gonna leave out the who debacle of the Shen-Gong-Wu being renamed. I honestly think that Xiaolin Chronicles could’ve been a good spin-off series but a lot of it came off as rather muddled and confusing…was it a spin-off? A remake? What’s going on?!
Not to mention the two newer characters Ping-Pong and Shadow…they weren’t great characters so I guess I sorta started thinking about my own ideas about how the series could’ve gone. It’s just my own sorta thing and not really to be taken seriously and y’know everyone has their own ideas for how the series could’ve gone.
1. Taking place after the last episode of Xiaolin Showdown; Raimundo is named leader and Shoku Warrior. The focus on Raimundo’s character is learning what it means to be a leader as no doubt the position would most likely go to his head leading to a lot of strife between the monks.
2. Exploring Jack Spicer more with the idea of good and evil. In the original series, I actually really hated the fact that Jack Spicer became a butt-monkey and it was flanderized in Chronicles. Instead I’d write Jack going through a journey of what he truly wants to be, a good guy or a bad guy and during that journey we’d start to see abilities of the element of metal start to manifest in him (yes I really like the idea that Jack would be the Dragon of Metal). This would push Jack further into a divide within himself as to what he wants to be.
3. New characters; frankly the show could’ve done without Ping-Pong and Shadow, they were just too…clone like to Omi and Chase plus the whole relationship between Chase and Shadow was creepy considering the fact that Chase made her from one of his ribs…*shivers*
Maybe this is just my own kind of bias as I’m not a big fan of the Smurfette principal either but I would want the Dragon of Wood to be female but they could be male too and I’d want them to be the group healer. I love combat medics and the Dragon of Wood would be someone who could practice apothecary and use their abilities to make sure the team comes out okay. Again, I love combat medics.
As for a new Heylin, this character could be someone angry with the world, possibly an extremist of some sort. Essentially an opposite of the Dragon of Wood. They joined Chase because they feel they could achieve their goals better with him than with the Xiaolins. Essentially the opposite of the Dragon of Wood who gives life; Chase’s apprentice takes life.
4. No more 3D showdowns. No…just no…
5. Bringing back Hannibal Roy Bean and his oh so ominous plans for the world. Hannibal could be the big bad of the entire series since Chase fears him so and it was alluded to in the first series.
6. It’d also be cool to explore the families of the Xiaolin monks more. I found that the introduction of Tigress Woo and Patty Bailey just came out of nowhere. It’d be nice if we got to explore more of the Xiaolin families allowing for smoother introductions to these characters.
7. Give Clay some love. Clay was possibly the most neglected in terms of character growth. He deserves a few of his own moments of growth and character exploration.

(Le Mime from the first series is actually a living Shen-Gong-Wu, the Mimic. Able to mimic the builds and abilities of other shen-gong-wu for a period of time and wants to learn more about this; also in a rivalry with Xiaolin Chronicles Le Mime)
