Hi, I just wanted to complain

My parents decided to put some things on my wall for me to display figurines and stuff (I just forgot the name), and I actually liked the idea. I thought they'd just be screwed into the wall and look great, but you know what? For some reason, they decided not to attach them to the wall, but instead hang them from a string to the ceiling... I don't want you to think I'm ungrateful or mean, but... it's awful, and it looks awful too. And what the heck, the string is horrible; it has burnt parts. Plus, I live in an earthquake-prone country, so with any tremor, that thing is going to swing around like it's being paid to do so.
