Why didn’t anyone tell me we had a school uniform I needed to follow?! Oh dear me, everyone just gawks at me, like I am some kind of wild or feral animal. I was told to dress formally! So formal I did! Oh dear me, I think I misread the information I was given. We speak English back home, sure, but it isn’t the ONLY language we speak either. Dear me dear me. Was wondering why the teachers were expecting me to wear such hot clothes in autumn of all season. Oh how embarrassing! Everyone must think I am such a blundering fool.
Well to be honest, you are. Don’t you have any other formal clothes you could wear that isn’t your Durmstrang uniform? Madam Malkin’s shop in Diagon Alley has plenty of clothes for you to buy if you don’t.
Hey! And well…..Not exactly. Nothing that would be similar to what you wear. I have a uniform in brown, and honestly mostly warm clothes. Very very VERY warm clothes. I was informed Scotland gets very cold, so I naturally assumed to think that I should bring things meant for such. Either that person was lying, or has very thin skin. It’s far from cold here. I have plans to head to her shop soon. I need more weather appropriate clothes anyway. Thinner and not made of furs or dense material.
Hmm… well, Scotland can get cold especially during the winter, but it’s still not comparable to mountain temperatures. Yes, you really should go to her shop when you have the time unless you want to carry on looking like fool that is. She’ll have something much more appropriate for you to wear even for the colder months.
I shall I shall. I just need to stop at Gringotts first, as to have my money transferred to proper coins to that of London. I’ve been told you have good fashion sense. Would you care to offer some advice? I am doubtful my Scandinavian perspective will meet the same as those of Gaelic nature here. I would love for some advice from someone who knows what they are doing after all. You seem to hold yourself high. I have confidence that if anyone would know, it would be you.
Oh well, thank you. Honestly your uniform suits you but obviously you can’t go around wearing that still so maybe you should go with something similar. You’ll get a better idea once you see the kind of outfits she has available, hopefully you’ll make a good choice unlike those fools going around wearing some of the worst clothes I’ve had the misfortune to ever lay my eyes upon. I hope you won’t make the same mistake. It’s easy to have confidence when you’re me, I always make the right decisions especially when it comes to fashion.
I think I understand what you are saying. I’ve been told I look the best in red. That it helps bring out my eyes. I think I’ve got a idea on what to go with now! Reds and dark colors! Thank you very much for your advice! I am certain that I will not disappoint your vision. Thank you very kindly for your help. If you ever need any help with anything, such as Dark Arts or Magical Beasts, I am beyond certain I will not leave you to shame on such classes! Friends help friends after all!
Well I’m glad to hear it, I’ll take your word for it and hope you don’t embarrass yourself later on. But you sound confident enough so I suppose that’s reassuring. You’re welcome, I look forward to seeing what you choose. And really, do you actually consider us friends? I… wasn’t expecting that.
Yes! Why not? You were kind enough to actually give me advice! I asked for help, and you helped me. That’s something friends do, right? Help each other? So yes. We are friends! When you need help, I’ll be there! Whatever you need. Anyone messing with you? You can count on me to put a stop to it fast. You need help with spells? I’m there. We have a beast problem? Hook me up! Friends help friends. So when you need help, I’m there for you! You can count on me!
Oh, well thank you. That is rather kind of you. I had to do something to stop yourself from embarrassing yourself any further but I’m glad you found it useful. It’s really respectable that you took my advice instead of getting defensive or ignoring what I had to say. And thank you for the offers, I do appreciate it. If you ever need any more fashion advice then you know who to come to. Also if you need any help with anything related to herbology then let me know, I’m rather skilled at it, I’m the best in the class so I know what I’m talking about.
Really? Oh that sounds like such a wonderful skill to have. I’m sure Herbology here is different from back home. We learn mostly about plants to avoid, and what toxins they are. Wait, I think I’m getting Herbology mixed up with Toxicology. Or was that Healing Magic Class-? Potions-? Alchemy? Think the heat is starting to get to me. Jumbling my words! Pardon me. I better hurry off to go and change my attire. Thank you again! I’ll most certainly come to you with questions, and know that you can come to me with yours. Thank you again, Miss Vole! Oh! Pardon me. Cherry! Cherry Cherry-Wood! But Cherry is fine.
Oh, uhh well you’re welcome. Hopefully a change of outfit will help your mind be less jumbled up. And thank you again, I’ll keep that in mind. My name’s Cassandra by the way, it’s good to formally meet you.
It was wonderful to properly meet you as well, and thank you again for your help. I’ll see you in class! If you ever need to contact me, I’ll more than likely be in the court yard or by Hagrids. If all else fails, head over to Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes! Take care, Miss Cassandra Vole!
Yes, I suppose I’ll see you around. Thank you for the information, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind. Although I can’t say I like pranks so I don’t go to that shop very often but I suppose I’ll make an exception if there’s ever an emergency or something else.If you ever need to find me I’ll probably be in the Herbology classroom or at Madam Malkin’s. Also just Cassandra’s fine. Good day to you Cherry.
