When she heard Cassie talk about diabetes she couldn’t believe what was happening her baby sister was struggling with something and all Camila wanted to do was help her and be there with her as she started tearing up she started tearing up as well “you’re the strongest person I know Cass and you’re going to get through this okay I’ll be here with you every step of the way I promise you that”.

Cassie sniffled as she wiped her eyes as she listened to Camila. Looking up at her she nodded her head then shook her head at the same time. “I.. I don’t want to be a bother, Mila..” It was true, she knew that having diabetes she would probably end up being clingy to her sister for awhile, until she would be able to manage this on her own, but at the same time, she didn’t want to bother Camila or take up her time from Shawn.

As she listened to her sister talk she was scared she didn’t know what was going on with Cassie but when she told her to sit she knew it was serious “okay”. Camila sat down on the girls bed waiting for her to talk in her mind she was going crazy her thoughts were all over the place about what Cassie could say.

Cassie bit down on her lower lip as she walked over to her bed and sat down. As she did, she fiddled with her fingers, trying to find the words to say about this news. She knew Camila wasn’t going to like it, but she also didn’t want to be a bother to Camila once she told her. Sighing softly, Cassie ran her fingers through her hair, “Okay.. H-here it is.. I.. I have type one diabetes.” She replied and looked down feeling her eyes tear up.
