On the Nature of Weapons.

This took longer than I thought it would.

Anyways, wanted to do a break down of Dream's weapons, their purposes, and their designs, and Reaper seems like the type of character he might talk to about things like this. His weapons are very interesting in their designs and they serve very specific purposes as well as a timeline into his logic. Though never explicitly confirmed, I have no reason to believe he can't create just about any weapon as long as he understands the mechanisms that goes into creating them, as he gains more weapons over his time post-stone, implying he learns to make and use new ones.

His bow is his only long range one and is the only one that uses external emotions to create his arrows which is why they only harm Nightmare and why he doesn't create normal arrows. Yes the colour thing is canon. Combined with the fact people cannot use his weapons because they would disappear on them, presumably, trying to make real arrows would have them dissipate as well before striking their targets. This is my thinking anyways. Also also, the bow string between the knives is likely that way because it makes it easier to transition from bow to knives, too. My explanation anyways. Happy to discuss in comments!

Geno

If Geno were avian, he would be the most miserable person ever (because he must be dramatic)

He can’t fly. His breathing difficulties make it impossible. At most, he uses his wings to help him ‘hop’ from place to place.

He’s half and half on grooming. Geno hates being dirty or uncomfortable, but that’s the most he’ll take care of. Grooming is too much effort, and oiling is a once a few months occasion.

He prefers fish and eggs to other ‘bird foods’. And will claw someone’s eyes out if they try to take his Grillby’s from him.

He gets one of those big round couches and lays on his stomach to watch his shows, he will grumble about it till the end of time

Reaper

He has literal mountains of trinkets in his room (centuries of gathering) and he is so proud of them

He has this weird habit of making bird sounds while skeleton-purring. It’s adorable but the noise is so strangled and warped by the mix of sounds that it sounds like a cat stuck in a washer

Reaper is a big fan of pheasant. Raw. Caught himself. (It’s about the only time he puts any genuine effort into something)

He has a habit of tucking wings around his friends and loved ones (the ones immune to the death touch)

Swad

He has numerous large tubs. He claims it’s just for luxury, but he loves to treat it like a giant bird bath. He’s so embarrassed if you figure it out.

He loves cats, but has beef with most birds on instinct

Swad eats a primarily carnivorous diet. He’s not a fan of vegetables or sweets, though he ironically likes herbal/floral foods and fruits as snacks

Swad’s room is in the highest tower (and I mean high) of his castle. Partially because he likes the wind/room to breathe, but also because it makes it very hard for people to bother him while he’s up there.

I greatly apologize if you've been asked about this topic before, but I would like to say that I still believe in Ink despite what happened in Underverse. My personal theory is that he was just lonely, and didn't know what else to do but try to bring his old friend back. My point is, no matter how many people say he doesn't deserve the love and attention he gets, Ink will always be the quirky little cinnamon roll I've come to know and love in my eyes! Thank you so much love! This is so nice of you to take the time to write this! <3 This addresses something that bothers me in fandoms: some people are very binary in appreciating characters. They tend to like characters and justify their liking by the fact that the characters have good morals and qualities, and that their flaws can relatively passed off as cute. So when a character appears as flawed and deceiving, they don’t want to be affiliated with this image of a character as something they like. Which is the whole problem.

Ink can be terribly selfish and disconnected. He can be calculating and distant. But he can also be very helpful, motivational and happy-go-lucky. He has the choice to be whatever he wants. This is what makes him feel off, yet at the same time, it can make him very endearing. He deals with emotions in a very unusual way: he’s not just a devil in disguise. (Well I mean people who only look at Underverse will never hear me out about this but that’s fine lmao)What I mean is, people tend to reject flawed characters. I think he should get love and attention because he’s flawed and complex, not because he looks like a pure angel with flaws that can be quieted down. Believing that characters without any fault are the only characters you’re entitled to appreciate because otherwise it’d feel “wrong” is very sad. I ADORE writing characters dealing with their flaws because it inspires me to do the same. Shutting this process down, even though it’s just on “harmless fictional characters”, prevents you from seeing character writing in a very very wide and resourceful perspective.

Killer sans he acts detached and playful on the surface, but underneath is emotionally unstable, obsessive, and deeply dependent on external purpose.

Chaotic and theatrical He likes provoking reactions, joking during serious moments, smiling when things are uncomfortable, and turning violence into a performance. He often acts like he’s “having fun” even when he’s mentally spiraling

He is emotionally numb… but not truly empty the idea that he wants to stop feeling pain him having muted emotions or forcing himself not to care. But cracks show constantly anger, jealousy, fear of abandonment, guilt, attachment

Dependent on validation or purpose often latches onto someone or something to give him direction. Without that, he can become lost, unstable, or self destructive. That’s why he intensely loyal once attached

Self destructive He tends to ignore his own wellbeing, emotionally and physically. him treating himself like a weapon rather than a person.

He jokes to avoid sincerity. The more serious the emotion, the more likely he is to deflect with sarcasm or exaggerated behavior.

Good ending killer sans ( Red )

The “good ending” for Killer Sans is less about becoming a perfect hero and more about finally reclaiming his free will and emotions.

In the original "Something New" , Killer was trapped in endless genocide timelines. After remembering every reset and all the suffering that came with them, he fell under the Player’s influence and became obsessed with feeling "something new” over time, he slowly lost his sense of self and forced himself into emotional numbness.

Eventually, he was taken in by Nightmare Sans and became one of his weapons. But instead of remaining trapped under Nightmare’s control, Killer met Color Sans. Color recognized that Killer was suppressing his real emotions and living like a puppet, and helped him break free from it all.

For the first time in a long time, Killer finally chose his own future.

Bad ending killer sans

After endless genocide timelines, Killer Sans becomes mentally shattered from remembering every reset, every death, and every hopeless loop. Eventually, the Player offers him a deal instead of suffering endlessly for nothing, he can join them and finally “feel something new.” Desperate to escape the emptiness, he accepts.

Even after separating himself from Chara, Killer still cannot escape what he has become. The damage left behind continues to consume him.

Before he can erase himself or reset everything, Nightmare Sans appears. Sensing the overwhelming negativity, despair, and instability within him, Nightmare recruits Killer into the Bad Sanses.

Nightmare then manipulates Killer’s fractured soul, keeping him emotionally dependent and using him as a weapon. Instead of finding peace or healing, Killer becomes trapped in yet another endless cycle.

how did you decide on the name Killer?

I didn’t name him it was an ask I really wish I remember who suggested it

When I made the first comic something new I wasn’t planning on actually making a sans au I was just missing around making comics then people started suggesting names for him until I got an ask saying name him “killer sans”

Part about killers character that he is like Chara and frisk in a sense his actions got influenced a lot by us the player

So I made him resemble a look of a fallen human plus a look that make you feel like they can be your friend or they can be scary monster…you know like an angel

Also I don’t think the universe of undertale / deltarune got gender rules when it come to how the human and monster dress if it means boy girl or anything which I really love honestly

I also love people interpretations when designing killer human form it’s just so creative and seeing their thoughts are so interesting ! ^^

killer style of fighting is a speedster he dodges a lot and makes sure to understand the opponent before he attacks

killer also likes to provoke and tease them so their opponents lose focus + Also killer is a little dancer so he dances around them

Killer play pretend a lot to get their opponent’s sympathy

He also has two fighting styles, depending on the enemy

Weapon style:

if the enemy is easy or if killer is bored

he fight's like a human

he’s very fast in both long range and close combat. He has been killed by you guys many times in many different ways, so he had to learn a lot of skills from those experiences.

He can use multiple weapons, but he mostly prefers knives. If the encounter isn’t boring, he might also use his magic.
