Nestor : im pleased to see my youngest is settling well in the army !
Antilochus being hand-fed figs by Achilles.
Patroclus stripping Antilochus almost naked to treat a minor injury on his chest.
Patroclus and Achilles bathing Antilochus after a battle.
Achilles pressing himself against Antilochus and holding his body to show him the best position to use a bow.
Antilochus sitting between Patroclus' thighs, who's combing his hair.
After a night of drinking wine together, Antilochus falling asleep in Achilles's tent, held tightly between him and Patroclus.
Nestor : aww look at him, hes already forging fraternal bonds
hhhhhhhnnnnggghhh antilochus you were so cunty why did you die
Age headcanons for my favourite acheans when the trojan war started because I want to and CAN share them!!!
Achilles: 23. Yes, considering that, he had Neoptolemus young. It was more common at the time, from what I've seen. He is young and stupid.
Agamemnon: 40. 10 years older than Menelaus. I doubted for a second they'd be so close with a 10-year age gap, but then i remembered how close me and my older brother who's also 10 years older are, and it only made me more convinced of that age gap.
Ajax, the great: 34. Five years older than his half brother. Honestly, I am kind of choosing this one only using the fact Telamon and Nestor were argonauts in some versions as a metric, for I have not found any other indicators of his age.
Ajax, the lesser: 30. I mean, I can only see him as younger than Ajax the great. Also, I am using the fact his father was an argonaut as a metric for that age ONCE AGAIN.
Antilochus: 18. Some claim Nestor said he was too young to join the war when it started, and only joined in the middle. He would have joined at 23.
Diomedes: 26. Some interpretations say he was the youngest among the acheans, but I find that unlikely. I chose the interpretation he is only the youngest among the kings.
Menelaus: 30. Not very old, not very young. He is in the middle ground, in my opinion.
Nestor: 53. He, according to some interpretations, met and had a similar age to most of the achean's fathers, so I used it as a metric for his own age.
Neoptolemus: 6, 16 when he joined the war. Many describe him to be in his "late teens".
Odysseus: 34. He is described as an "raw old man" during the illiad if I am not mistaken, nine years after the war starts, so I believe that makes sense.
Patroclus: 25, older than Achilles, but only by two years. A bit more wise than him.
Teucer: 29. Guess what's the metric? Yeah, his dad being an argonaut. Then again, I do not know much about Teucer. Feel free to tell me about him.
I love Antilochus đ„čđ
Spare some Antilochus headcanons for the poor? Please and thank you
Going to preface this by saying none of these will be serious because Antilochus is just a silly guy to me
Def takes every opportunity possible to make fun of his dad. Nestor is giving one of his long winded speeches and Antilochus is just behind him ad libbing and making faces. Nestor joins the battle briefly and Antilochus is so busy mocking his bad back and slow running that he nearly forgets they're in the middle of the battlefield. That being said I think if anyone other than him makes fun of Nestor Antilochus is immediately on their necks
Either a surprisingly good cook or is literally barred from even sitting anywhere near the fire
I've said this before but he has whatever the equivalent of brainrot humour is in ancient Greece. Before you start saying "azi there's no such thing" I must remind you that annoying little shits have existed throughout all time so YES of course there was such a thing.
Loves wearing eccentric clothing. He thinks he's a trend setter.
He also thinks he's really good at the lyre. He's... Okay at it.
Really good with children. Which is a shame because he barely got to raise his little brothers anyway đđđ Horrible with babies though. Kids love him but babies take one look at him and start wailing.
Gossip queen. Not to blackmail others but just to hear the tea for entertainment. Loves stirring shit up though, which is barely a hc because he literally does this in the Iliad when he keeps ramming his chariot against Menelaus' during the funeral games for no reason other than to piss him off.
Ofc him Achilles and Patroclus are always stirring shit up together tho. I think Automedon is often their voice of reason but they barely listen to his ass. Pat probably stops it when things get too crazy but he is definitely a contributor.
i need to protect antilochus at all costs, im not kidding. that boy is worth dying for.
like what do you MEAN he made achilles smile when all he wanted to do was die. and actually prevented him physically from taking his own life. but hes also such a dorky sweetheart while being a badass at the same time as all the iliad warriors are. im not well

Do you ever imagine Athena being a mother figure to Tiresias? Also him being childhood friends with Ericthonius
Um, Im not sure if Tiresias and Erichthonius lived in the same era, but I can imagine Athena awkwardly trying to get close to child Tiresias in the hope that Chariclo would forgive her for blinding her son, like in the beggining she observes him but doesnt aproach directly instead she sends animals to help him, Tiresias notices Athena and then she give him an excuse that she trying to see if his prophecy abilities work, Athena uses this moment to be a mentor to him like teaching him how to interpret prophecy, Chariclo is spekitical at first and is protective of Tiresias but over time, Chariclo notices Tiresias laughing again and realizes Athena is trying, even if imperfectly, forgiveness isnt dramatic just Chariclo finally addressing her by name again instead of âgoddess.â in the end, Athena develops a genuinely soft spot for Tiresias. Depending on the timeline, I could also imagine Athena trying to raise Erichthonius while remembering how Chariclo raised Tiresias (Athena acting like she also didnt kinda raise Tiresias), but failing and then begging Chariclo to raise Erichthonius with her.
Athena x Chariclo but it's Chariclo having a feeling for a goddess she's supposed to serve, and Athena either oblivious about it or just ignore it because she genuinely likes Chariclo's companionment
See thatâs what Iâm talking about! Enough with making Athena a womanizer like her dad thatâs lame.

Your Honor, they are married! T OT
These are all the exact same ship btw and itâs one of my favourite dynamics
Character a: secretly a superhero
Character b: bullies character a but is a massive fan (THEY HAVE A CRUSH COUGH COUGH) of the superhero.
Must say my favourite of these is unfortunately the one with the smallest fandom⊠the way flash was really becoming a better person in spectacular spiderman before it was cancelled was really good⊠liz and peter were still better though and i hate the romance writing in this otherwise amazing show.
I find it funny that after Patroclus died, Achilles made Antilochus his new closest companion, only for Antilochus to die nextđđđ
Hey, you ever wonder how Antilochus felt ?
How he felt as he watched one his close friend Achilles grow closer and closer to his philos, until they were nigh-inseparable ? As he watched their relationship grow from childish crushes and puppy love to something deep-rooted and long-lasting, something of legend ?
How he felt as he watched Achilles refuse to come to the aid of the Greeks, even as he knew that Antilochusâ brother Thrasymedes and his aged father Nestor were in danger without him there ? How he felt as he watched Patroclus - his friend, by now, almost as close as Achilles - try to sway him to no avail ?
As he watched Patroclus ride into battle dressed as Achilles, like a living embodiment of Achilles himself - the hardened, glorious, armor and face of the son of a god, but with a soft core, and one that belonged to none but Patroclus ?
As he watched Patroclus returning, brought back by Menelaus and Odysseus, armor gone now, and soft, dead, core laid bare for all to see ?
As he watched Achilles, mad with grief, weep over Patroclusâ corpse, and tried to stay his blade from his throat, that he may not lose two friends in one day ? As he wept with him, for the loss of a man they both loved ?
As he watched his once-glorious friend empty out into nothingness, a husk, the soft core gone, and even the glorious armor dented and rusted ? As he lost his friend after all, and in a way more painful than any spear tip ?
As he saw Memnon, son of the Dawn, ready his spear across the Troad ? As he saw where his eyes fell ? As he leapt across to catch the point of it on his own belly, that it may not do the same to his father - one of the few people left to him ?
As he stared up into Achillesâ eyes, the other man hugging him close, as close as he had Patroclus, even, and as the last of itâs light faded away with the loss of this newest love ? As the last sight to meet his eyes before he succumbed to his wounds were the death of his closest friend ?
How do you think Antilochus felt ?
Achilles come down is Antilochus and not Patroclus to me actually and I won't accept otherwise
