Sometimes a girl really wants to take a curtain rod and smash it into a man's face
Took my last birth control pill this morning, planned to pick some up after work (which never happened because I stayed late AGAIN). Didn't make an alert for myself to remember them, didn't write it down, didn't even say it out loud.
And I just scrolled past an ad for it.
Wow people are really looking for ways to piss me off today
Was it because I said I had concerns about potential weight gain & low libido-related side effects? Damn I just wanna be able to nut AND be happy
Me, sipping cold canned coke while standing over my boiling pan of hot dogs: Hmm I'm thirsty and this soda isn't helping but I'm also a little nauseous and hot
And then I, big wrinkle brain, started thinking "oh well dumbass you probably need water" and chugged some fresh water and now I feel better.
Anyway while I was completely focused on typing this post, the toaster went off & scared the shit out of me and also I panicked over my hot dog water boiling a little too furiously
Are gay horses dancing in a nightclub significant to anything
Mom and I chatted this morning via fc on my drive to work. She asked if I've been having any luck lately in the dating world and my immediate response was the human equivalent of a hyena cackle.
Like, mom. Moms. Mama. I can't date. Can you imagine coming home to your man after a long day at work and he says "hey baby girl how was your day??" and you either can't answer at all (thank you ndas) which leads to lies and manipulation OR you can and you just go "good, i had to stare at dozens of pictures of dead men's close-up faces and try to figure out why they died :)"
Like? Hello??
IS TOADETTE THE ONLY GIRL TOAD IN THE SUPER MARIO UNIVERSE THE SAME WAY SMURFETTE IS THE ONLY GIRL SMURF IN THE VILLAGE
if anybody has beef with me, it’s one-sided. i do not care. i do not have the energy. i am tired.
I do love my mom but phone calls with her remind me why I was so depressed living with her lmao
I wanna dabble a little on the subject of mind vs. body. We know for a solid fact that the mind and body are connected. Body feeds information (touch, smell, sound) to the mind, mind processes, body reacts accordingly. Often times, we choose not to do things that incite pain upon ourselves. So what happens when the body and mind suddenly disagree on something in grave times? Do you listen to morals, or do you survive? This is where it turns into that whole muscle memory vs. morals thing.
Say you're running from the cops or from a group of people that you and your friends got into it with. Either way, you're getting hurt if they catch you, possibly worse. Your friend trips over something and falls, only to injure themselves pretty badly. You stop mid-run to check on them, but the opps are getting closer. Your body jerks, like it's trying to run in the opposite direction, but you remain frozen. Not exactly helping your friend, but not running yet either. You're processing, even if it's only for a few seconds before you actually react (physically) to the situation. That's exactly what it feels like when your body and mind argue on a decision. Self preservation trying to outweigh the need to be a good person, or the "hero", and vice-versa.
But what about the worse situations?
What happens when you're a 24 year-old corporate office worker living their best life with a decent salary, starting with a clean slate, and the building begins to collapse in on everyone on a Tuesday morning? A slab of ceiling plummets to the desk beside you, belonging to an older coworker in his late 50s. He walks with a moderate limp and uses a cane. Around you, everyone is panicking to get to the elevator, but it doesn't work. The power is now out, so they dash for the stairs.
You know your coworker won't make it through that crowd in this much panic, down all those flights of stairs, with a cane and a limp. Something bad is bound to happen.
Do you:
1.) Try to help him get out as quickly and afficitiently as you can, knowing this massive building of concrete and glass is coming down and could possibly take the two of you out?
2.) Leave him. Get out any way you can. Survive.
And, again, this all depends. I think it's more a case-by-case basis when it comes to making hard decisions, and even then it can span out to what's influencing that person to make that decision (lifestyle/upbringing, personality, financial status, etc.)
There's so much more to everything than everyone thinks

are you five nights at fucking kidding me
I've never lived in an apartment with high-rise windows in like every room. Every day, I suffer a period of awe-induced paralysis. The sunrises in the kitchen while I make my morning coffee. The sunsets in the living room when I'm winding down after work.
I've been late to work twice this week already. I fear they do not like me
