Found undisturbed at the back of the fridge. No date on it but I guesstimate it's about one month old. Scroll on now if mould and fungus upsets you! So even if refrigerated, fruit will go mouldy eventually. Lesson learned today: check everything in the fridge.
Stunning morning. Get out to the green outdoors and do some exercise. Just walk and take in the sunshine. #relaxing (at The Bay Run)
Our neighbour's salad bring a plate from last night: roast veg and couscous salad. Dressing of yoghurt, honey and herbs. Delish. Thnx Lyndey. (at Balmain, New South Wales, Australia)
Salad of 3 lettuces, Ted capsicum (bell pepper for you Yanks), cucumber plus dressing. The avo was brown and too-soft. Another fail. The backup avo (always buy two in case) was had as a rock. Go figure! Dressing of Virgin olive oil, orange juice, garlic and Dijon. No salt as there's already heaps in the Dijon. Simple but sensational. You like? (at Balmain, New South Wales, Australia)
Having grains cooked and frozen but ready to use is the easiest way IMHO. Here leftover brown rice being packed and frozen in 1-cup portions for the freezer.
Lovely to chat with Christine Anu about all things soup and broth tonight. Oh and Anzac biscuits, not cookies. On ABC Radio Sydney and nationally.
Grab a copy of Healthy Food Guide magazine out now. I've written 5 easy ways to eat more mindfully. More satisfaction from less food.
Order "extra vegetables" when you order Singapore Noodles 🍝 at a Wok On inn. For a few dollars extra, you get a better balance of carbs, protein and veges. Really. (at Wok on Inn Street Noodle Bar)
Look what was awaiting me today in the post box? Thnx to @hfgaustralia for the latest issue of their fab magazine. Always love it!
Sorry Anchor but it's a Fail from me for your Classic Toasted Muesli. Only 3 sultanas in a bowl. Contrast that to my own home made Muesli with way more seeds and nuts. Go figure.
Here's all the components of that Super Salad with Tahini from @drjoannamcmillan as mentioned before. Just delicious and lasts if you don't add any dressing - still having done a day after assembly :) (at Balmain, New South Wales, Australia)
A tad mushy but otherwise a beaut mix of lentils, beans and quinoa. Saves me cooking up three individual grains #convenience #health
Thnx to @uncletobys for sending me the new oat sample products. Perfect timing with the colder mornings now :)
Trying out the new Nature's Mix with no added sugar and hazelnut, macadamia and almond. Topped with maple syrup and natural flaked almonds. My verdict? Tastes delish! Thnx to @uncletobys for these samples.
Yes met another Aussie at the wonderful #Eataly at Flatiron at Madison Square. Best time to go is early, just before 11am when it's quiet and you can see things without the crowds. Here stuffed artichoke and char-grilled asparagus. Stunning. (at Eataly NYC Flatiron)
Street art is NOT the same as graffiti says our guide showing us fab creations incl food (natch) by the Bushwick Collective. You gotta see this! (at The Bushwick Collective)
