“Wait—“ Almost as if his last desperate plea he stops you from shutting your eyes. You scrunch your eyebrows seeing him get up and throw you on his chest ontop of him. You’re a little lightheaded from the sudden movement seeing as you were on your back for an hour and giggle. “Don’t go to sleep yet.”

Gentle loving Bakugo….

Bakugo’s never been in love before.

Not with a person that is.

He’s in love with being a hero. Being the best, but not a person.

You however have started to change that a little.

You always been the type to wear your heart on your sleeve, not afraid to express your feelings no matter how passionate, many of your friends have teased you a few times for how loving you can be oddly enough. You just simply love easy and not afraid to show it.

Bakugo was no exception to this, you always made an effort to flash your charming smile and words at him, some days he ignores you and others he simply relishes in it saying “I know i’m awesome!”, and others he feels as if you’re being sarcastic , but it wasn’t the case you genuinely enjoyed speaking with him.

You had a very slight heavy soft spot for him, it started off because you were admiring him. He was strong, he died and came back, he is not only street smart but book smart. Bakugo was somebody you understood why he had a hard shell, and respected it. Under that hard exterior was a sweet, soft, a kind man.

You even managed to express more patience than Deku towards him. Many people assume you were a pushover for Bakugo, but that was far from it, you knew when he was close to actually blowing a fuse and when he was just being pissy, which in turn you knew when to pick and choose to approach him.

After years of this, Bakugo began to slowly soften, his words, still sharp, but his tone was subdued. He often came to you for simple questions such as wanting to spar and once for advice. He started to subconsciously include you in activities where he needed a partner at work. Your company became less than inconvenient, and more of a desire from him.

Months lead on and he sees you as a friend, nearly as equal, you even managed to get a few laughs and smiles out of him, and you didn’t mind. The change was so seemless you don’t even remember when he first started to ask you out more often on solo trips together.

The way you listen, care, and observe Bakugo was something new, something that even he couldn’t place why, but he knew he liked it.

He knew he liked you.

You made him feel more himself, more human and less just a hero. As corny as it is in some way you became his hero. All with how you loved him all those years.

Unfortunately the love you give him is only platonic, and he knows that but he isn’t sure if he wants to tell you that he developed a love towards you that is more and deeper than just a friend.
