Inktober Days 15-21

And I said to myself ‘it has only been a few days since you uploaded these to tumblr, it is fine’ . . . nope, it has been a week. Oops! Ok so, I did actually do all of these on time it was just a lot of effort to upload them all everywhere so I put them on instagram (i have an instagram now! It is Catinspats there as well). and left it at that. So this is days 15 through to today, 21.

At the top we have Kitty and Mrawh go to bed, then Kitty and Mrawh and the Haunted House, Kitty and Mrawh and Marmalade, Mrawh and the cactus, Kitty and Mrawh go to the shops, Kitty meets a monster and Kitty and Mrawh meet a ghost.

Oof.

Inktober Day 13 - Kitty and the Octopus

Just Kitty today. I did draw a few thumbnails with Mrawh but I wanted to spend more time on the details of Kitty (AKA her hair) she has fun hair and I like to draw it. Day 12 - Kitty and Mrawh and the galoshes.

When I was coming up with the idea I was actually thinking of hip waders but the word escaped me so I ended up with galoshes instead. It is ok though, because this is still cute. Even if it isn’t hip waders (CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW CUTE?)

I don’t know why Kitty is shying away from getting her feet muddy, but maybe she just doesn’t like this particular type of muck, who knows?

Inktober Days 9 -11

I did actually finish these in time but it was just impossible to get time to scan them and post them until now so here you go!

At the top we have Day 9 - Kitty and Mrawh in the Kitchen . . . but not really IN the kitchen because no one in their right mind lets those two wander around where food is being prepared. I used Faber Castell pigment liners for this one. I do prefer crow quill but I was out and about so I had fun with this!

Next we have day 10 - Kitty and Mrawh at the park. I may color this later so I left it just lines. I really like how the trees turned out I think they are fun shapes and would be fun to paint (even if this sketchbook is not meant for paint . . .)

Then we have day 11 - Kitty and Mrawh take a bath. Obviously it is just Kitty taking a bath since Mrawh doesn’t really go in for that sort of thing. He is a mudman, he objects to soap (though he has occasionally eaten soap?). This is sort of like revisiting a piece I did a long time ago with them in the bath which fun I think.

Inktober Day 8 -Kitty and Mrawh in the Graveyard

Week done! So while I was doing thumbnails I was like why is this so boring??? But then I added ghosts and it was much better. The ghosts would prefer if they didn't have visitors, thank you very much? They're trying to sleep. Mrawh, of course, would prefer if they stayed asleep. No one is getting what they want tonight. Inktober Day 7 - Kitty and Mrawh and the fence

Clearly I saw fence and draw a rock wall but it is close enough! These two are known for getting into what they shouldn’t. If they didn’t then Kitty would never have met Mrawh and we all know how tragic that would be. So here they are exploring and if one finds a barrier it is only logical to find out what is on the other side. It wasn’t like there was a sign that said for them to keep out.

Day 6 and still breathing! So I debated with myself about tidepools or sandcastles and went with sandcastle. I think Mrawh trying to fight off the encroaching water is just too darn cute. He doesn't like salt water much, and definitely not when he has worked so hard on a castle! They probably used his hat to make some of the towers which I bet is super adorable.

Day 5 - Kitty and Mrawh find a mysterious shack

Still going strong!I really like this one. It took me far too many thumbnails to figure out what to do but I like what I came up with. So Mrawh doesn't often like to hold hands but I think he is feeling a but spooked. Is it a witches cottage? Who knows! Also did bit more brushwork on this one that I am pleased with.
