He never disappoints but The newest die hard installment is by the book: intense action with plot optional. It starts a little slow not the typical redic. Opening action sequence but fear not it gets redic soon enough. This time around its a family affair which is pretty stereotypical u weren't there for me dad so now I'm hard. U may recognize John mcclane's offspring (jai courtney) as spartacus' BFF which was exciting but other Than that none of the characters have depth. It makes sense as a setup to keep the franchise going bc apparently that's all studios do now. Bruce Willis and his mclane counterpart don't seem like they have another big role in a die hard film left in them. As my favorite jersey boy (the one who brought me to see this on vday) pointed out, the die hard movies get cheesier and cheesier which in this context I Tend to like but its not for everyone particulary I would imagine not critics. im sure they will harp on the fact that its russian bad guys with a cold war subtext HOWEVER i enjoy the savoring if the yippy Ki yay moment and the shameless repeating that this is Bruce Willis' vacation but only see this movie if u like to watch shit blow up .. Because there r some very aggressive special effects.. That's right aggressive. But there's no depth .. Unless u count the depths of my love for Bruce Willis.. A storm is coming .. And I think its in the form of a dif direction for the future of this franchise Happy love day!
