A WET WINTER WEEKEND ON WASHINGTON’s WEST COAST

Washington’s Olympic Peninsula is one the most interesting and diverse areas on the continent. Within the span of a day you can explore alpine tundra in the glacier-capped mountains, visit lush temperate old growth rainforests, and catch a stunning sunset on the wave-battered coast. The rugged topography and endless wet weather lend a thrilling edge-of-the-continent feel, and with varied vistas, ample roadside wildlife, and miles and miles of wilderness to explore it’s basically a perfect roadtrip destination.

This past winter Subaru invited us out to explore Olympic National Park and film a little profile for their #MeetAnOwner campaign. Going down a couple days early, we snowshoed Hurricane Ridge, drove through torrential squalls in the dark mossy halls of Hoh Rainforest, and visited the rugged foggy coastline around La Push.
